Keep Waiting...

Article by Hebbes - July 13, 2017

Hey everyone, it's Hebbes again. As of writing this, there hasn't been an announcement about an event this weekend, and probably won't be. Everyone is waiting for news about the release of Omens of the Past and I’m not sure if the meta is going to go anywhere, so I'm looking at attacking last weekend's top decks for the Eternal Tournament Series.

Stonescar Burn won last weekend piloted by MasterMattchu.

They beat Sunyveil in the finals on Feln Haunting Scream.

I’m a fan of both of these decks. I'm a burn player in my heart and both of these decks are basically burn decks, one just does it getting units back from your void and flinging them at your opponent's face.

Going into the ETS this weekend I expect to see boards heavy on Burn and Void hate. The only Steward of the Past's in the top 8 were two in the sideboard of Rrbbtt's Stonescar Kalis.

If I were going to play in the ETS Weekly this weekend, I would bring SirRhino's baby, Feln Control with four Steward of the Past and four Black-Sky Harbinger in the main.

This deck does everything I want to do versus what I feel will be a heavy Aggro/Midrange meta. As I'm sure SirRhino will attest, Black-Sky Harbinger is one hell of a card. The one thing I might change from Rhino's list is to have a full four Sabotage instead of just three, cutting the fourth Withering Witch from the deck completely.

I know Scarlatch has been giving us a lot of new cards to think about on the Discord server and I've been brewing a lot with them. I might try and write something about those brews tomorrow but who knows, the set could be released by then and I'll be focused on drafts. So until next time, have fun.
