One last Deck before the new Set get released.
Mono Fire
It's be a real pain in the a.. to ake this deck work. Eventhough it carries a ton of well-known cards, it's still a big task to set up a mono fire deck, that can consistently beat the Gauntlet AI on Masters.
This one has now reached 20 complete runs, and by my own surprise records at 18-2, which i really didn't expect at all.
Match-ups are fast and average on turn 5-6 wins.
What makes the difference to all the other Fire Decks out there?
It has a consistent power base and card draw thoughout.
Another difference to other decks is, it carries a small stranger bundle, as those can increase the card draw. It doesn't need specific cards to be drawn, but it needs fodder for Market, Plunder and
Catalyze without decreasing it's own potential and that's where the treasure chests come in quite handy.
It also includes XO of the Endless Hoard, which got nerfed quite a bit, but the Inscribe comes in favourably in early gameplay match ups increasing the powerbase total, but also being a threat in late game. Since it doesnt struggle with card draw, the power cards can be used to ramp up instead of ditching them away.
D'Angolo Houndmaster also works well within the deck structure, because eventhough there aren't card draw probs here, it's steal easy to run yourself low on cards to take profit off him, since we carry a lot of low cost cards and mostly use the Power cards to ramp, thus leaving us with small hands when necessary.
The Market choice are... let's call them pretty occassional, since the most common picks will be
Scythe Slash and
Desperate Gambit (I seriously haven't picked anything else yet, since games are too fast anyways)
All in all, this is the first mono Fire deck I'm all around happy with (resultswise) and it can handle almost any AI deck if the right decisions are being made. The most common AI Boss matchups (atleast to me) Charge, Double Damage, Sibblings and Decay are pretty easy to win, since they all favour this deck over the AI one (unless the AI manages to gets the ultimate masterful draw).
Enjoy!
