Playing this down in the meme tiers of Silver but I feel like it actually has potential to do a helluva lot better.
Game plan of this deck primarily revolves around the synergies with four cards while playing a typical Menace Dragons deck:
-
Jekk, Mercenary Hunter is insanely good, period.
-
Razca, Rewarded who can be discarded by Jekk if you don't have a sigil in hand and makes it easy to trigger "when you draw more than 1 card in a turn" effects thanks to our many different dragons. Also makes good fodder for
Display of Menace's draw mode and gets exalted if we play
Karvet, Solar Dragon.
-
Tota Pioneer works really well with Jekk since the treasure troves count as an extra card drawn, so does Razca when you draw her from the void. Also can buff our strong attackers (eg: Jekk and our flying dragons) to be even stronger.
-
Tattoo Dragon can pledge to make FFF on turn 4 for Jekk easier to hit, spawns oni tokens for more board presence (or Display draw fodder), and is a dragon so it slots in well with the rest of the shell.
The rest of this deck is pretty self-explanatory; Lots of dragons and cards that go well with dragons. I'm not fully sure that 3x
Acedonis, Untainted is the right call since it dies to Jekk, but we have a good number of damage spells so if our opponent blanks we get a lot of value out of it.
Eclipse Dragon also dies to Jekk and, after trying it as a 3-of for a bit, I was kind of underwhelmed by it in this specific deck...it might be worth revisiting in the future however.
Spitflame Draconus on the other hand doesn't die to Jekk and comes with a semi-removal effect to boot. Finally, I
think only 2
Provoke the Dragons is right since we also have a tutor-able
Skylord Tolek for when we are able to build a board.
The only other card I really want to call out is
Turn to Seed since it's pretty good with
Icaria, First Reaper everywhere right now, but it might be worth swapping for more fast damage spells in the future. I tried
Open Contract instead for a while but it felt like a "worse
Defile" an awful lot of the time in limited testing.
Fairly happy with the market as-is. However, if the meta shifts to less aggro, the right call is probably drop
Condemn and
Acedonis, Untainted completely in favor of a Salvo market. Transpose
might be worth considering since
Silverblade Menace is a super good card but we don't make as good use of her here as, say, a deck with
Milos, Rebel Bomber would.
Constructive feedback definitely appreciated!
EDIT: After a few more games I went ahead with 5 fire sigils and 2 primal which seems more correct on paper.
