Regular:
Nothing much to talk about for regular troops for Bolsters:
Ageless Knight,
Dran, Won't Back Down,
Charming Steelguard,
Steelwarren Outfitter,
Furious Magniventris, they work, harmoniously, fun.
What's new?
why 1
Novaquake Titan? because he can so easily bond with
Ageless Knight! it is so easy to get a big
Ageless Knight from all the armors and bolsters interactions or even from
Martyr's Chains, and sometimes you can bond
Novaquake Titan for free depends on how big
Ageless Knight is.
Bolster engine of:
Porcelain Mask +
Shepherd's Horn will give all troops Overwhelm and every time you play a troop, you get life from Shepherd's Horn. Or when
Charming Steelguard /
Valkyrie Station generated troops. Gaining life automatically will trigger Bolster effects. Don't forget playing attachments can trigger Ageless Knight too.
What make this deck consistent:
Chancellor's Horn, once triggered the effect of drawing unit of choice with more life than attack, you can choose to draw:
1)
Diana, Faith's Shield (my usual first choice)- don't be scared of the influence of 2T4J, its so easy to hit that, from bolster engine of
Steelwarren Outfitter, Diana is so versatile to draw a card, she is flying, and gives life + armor (to trigger bolster) (you can consider to add
Hive Hexagon into the deck if you to make use of life gain, or even synergize with
Porcelain Mask /
Shepherd's Horn combo engine). Her ultimate effect is just of a "win more" condition.
2)
Furious Magniventris, if you need the stun effect to buy time, he is your good choice. i rarely pick him.
3) MVP
Novaquake Titan. Game-ending, if you see you can bond him with your
Ageless Knight, please choose this, game over, you win. Unless enemy units have a lot of aegis. (i usually overwhelm them over with big units, or use Martyr's Chains to pop the aegis, if i cannot overwhelm-kill them). Or you can use
Furious Magniventris to pop aegis.
other than Diana,
First Shipment is another card that makes this deck play much more consistently to achieve what you want to do. Draw a card, gain life, pick your wanted sigil.
Why i include Marshal Ironthorn?
he makes
Martyr's Chains so much easier to play. Example, if you already have Ageless Knight + Steelwarren Outfitter + Marshal Ironthorn on board, but the board is in a stale state because there are a lot of enemy units, playing Martyr's Chain can instant-kill two enemies of your choice at one go. if you have multiple Steelwarren Outfitter / Marshal Ironthorn on board, u will instantly kill many enemy units upon playing Martyr's Chain.
He also makes casting Ultimates of himself or Diana's much easier. And, make Novaquake Titan's bonding so much easier. His 5/5 body is not too weak to function as a blocker as well.
Other considerations:
i was toying around with
Hive Hexagon,
Hive Queen Uther,
Mystic Ascendant,
Grodov's Burden, these can be synergistic and fun in this deck too. Special mention to
Mystic Ascendant, he is an automatic draw+grow machine, when you have Steelwarren Outfitter on board, the deck plays itself when you have the bolster engines loaded. It is very satisfying when he does all the automatic plays on his own, but i eventually took him out of the deck and added
First Shipment for much more consistent play due to power requirement of 6 vs 3. I always like
Sword of Unity, the lifesteal can be synergistic to bolster effect, but to properly get the aegis-all effect, we need 6 power. So it doesn't play that consistently in lower power when enemies keep killing our units before 6 power, so i took it out from deck.
Lord Mayor Horat can be synergictic but his body of 3/3 for 4-cost is a bit too expensive. 6-cost to play Equalize, unless i am in mono justice deck, hard to justify using him in here. Since we have porcelain mask-shepherd's horn life gain engine, if we want to play Lifeforce effect, it's just win-more condition. Too bad Katra needs to have shadow influence
