update june 2023
basically removed any non power card that doesn't have inscribe from the deck(the only exception being market access cards)
the list runs pretty friggin smooth this way. also
Final Moments is freaking amazing in this list, it actually kind of makes the deck.
Good luck, have fun everyone!
[Update]
IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Remember you want to abuse the redraw function by redrawing the first hand (almost always). (2-4 power cards = 3-5 nonpower cards) Otherwise you will likely die with 6+ power cards in your hand every game, lmao.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I moved the finisher to the market because there are 4x Supply Cache, so 4x as likely to get it when I need it, and 100% less likely to get it when I don't. also put BARF in the deck as a 1 of because the deck has close to no units, and I could picture game
states where this saves me from losing due to loss of cards. - It might be terrible Just trying it out.
After a bit of testing I also added
Chronostorm as leonsaid suggested in the comments.Because this deck can struggle vs aggro and anything with inscribe is basically a freebie.
[/Update]
I'm in masters and I've been winning most of my games (currently on a 11 game win streak!! I'll keep this update if it grows but I'm probably jinxing it rn so :/ ) just wanted to post this to see if anyone could help me find what its missing...
Definitely needs some tweaks and better ways to protect from removal but here is the idea:
Gastrolith with glimpse the possibilities in a deck with around 50 power cards = play your whole deck, hopefully you have enough power to end by the time you find pyrotech explosion then just nuke them in the face.
Try to play glimpse when you have most of your power available, probably the turn following gastrolith, I have won games when I played gastrolith+glimpse same turn, using all of my power to do so, but its risky. Also the turn you play glimpse you gotta act fast because you WILL(most likely) run out of time. Basically its shop 'til you drop, off the top. you gotta be spam dragging power cards off the top as fast as you can. I'm considering removing some of the power cards that do things because the animation + gastrolith life gain trigger really starts to add up. If you run out of time, hopefully you managed to que up another turn with sols end, and you can always excavate glimpse back to the top for round 2.(thinking of adding deeptrail vanguard or something similar to the main for this.)
If you don't have enough power just use sol's rest and drop the bomb on your following concurrent turn.
There are loads of market access cards and wrath of caiphus to refresh when necessary.
Passionate artisan to protect the gastrolith... thinking of replacing but what with? maybe more power cards tbh
All the other cards have inscribe so you can just play them as power cards off the top for free so they don't get in the way while you dig for explosion.
Supply cache, and the Cylix/scout power cards help greatly to clear anything off the top you don't want, so try to time them wisely!!!
Try to keep a treasure trove in hand for the explosion if you don't think you'll have enough power to get lethal by the time you get to it.
Have fun! :)
The idea of putting inscribe on the main axis is really interesting
Thank you for the compliment! :)
How has the deck been performing for you?
I agree on taking out the Etchings. It's usually dead in my hand since you don't really need to draw more power cards with it. Maybe you can exchange it with either East Annex Smuggler or Speed Grafter. You might even include both since you rely on the market so much.
Good suggestions, and thank you. I will give them a spin, I think I'll favor east annex over speed grafter because of the added access to win con, but may indeed end up running both. I'm starting to think more sigils might be necessary for this list to run as smooth as possible.
