Icicle Marksman combo

Cost Curve

This is a deck built around combining Icicle Marksman with Hunter's Harpoon for massive amounts of value. I've been experimenting with this deck since Icicle Marksman came out as Icespear Chucker, and Garden of Omens made this deck a whole lot better since your combo turns are now a whole lot scarier when your spells cost 1 less mana and you have a site on the board that demands answers. Brenn's Scrying also made this a lot better by giving a cheap spell that keeps your combo going a lot longer and by turning Garden's Resurface into an actual card draw spell (in a sense).

The only new card is Dragon Forge, and it makes your combo go off so much sooner, not to mention it lets you reduce the number of main deck Harpoons, which lets you play more spells in the main deck and lets you pull Xo to get a spell mid-combo.

If you can make the influence work, Sodi's Spellshaper is much better than Hunter's Harpoon

I agree that Sodi's Spellshaper is much better than Hunter's Harpoon, but I really like having undepleted power early so I can play early interaction tools or Brenn's Scrying. In Jennev colors I'd lose access to Insignias and in Elysian colors I'd lose access to Garden and Torch, both of which are really amazing in general but especially in this deck.

As a result, even though Sodi's Spellshaper is a lot better than Hunter's Harpoon I think it might still be better to run Hunter's Harpoon because of the logistics surrounding going Elysian or Jennev, but of course there's no way to tell without testing it.
