My favourite MTG card was the first rare that I opened which was Thunderbreak Regent. Dragons have always been my favourite and with Oni Dragonsmith I got super excited.

I have about 20k shiftstone and am wondering how I can improve this deck with better dragons or just how to improve it in general. I am extremely budgeted player so my legendaries come out of lots of grinding.


I added Nocturnal Observer to replace 2 hailstorm and 2 polymorph. It helped to add some draw power and to eat some removal which was helpful. I also have been looking at maybe add more units in the two and three spot but am not sure what would fit best.

Looking over your list, I think you might need to drop Mistveil Drake since they themselves are the only source of Aegis, and a flying aegis 3/3 for 7 isn't good if they can easily pop it. I'd say either Steelbound Dragon, or maybe even Topaz Drake, or just more copies of Thunderstrike Dragon as shiftstone budget replacements, if not Molot & Nakova.

Yeah Mistveil is alright but 2 is almost too many. dark returning them is pretty great but Molot & nakova looks awesome! I've made some more changes to make draws smoother. I added Nocturnal Observer and cut poly and 2 hailstorms. So far it eats a lot of removal which is great because the dragons are safer.

I'll make some Molot's and see how they feel!

Molot & Nakova is one of my favorite cards. It's greedy as heck but devastating when you get it off, I recommend it here as a 2-of

Maybe run some Unseal as protection for your Dragonsmith? It's real fragile, and will be a removal priority.

I love Dragon themed decks, and this one looks very interesting to me! I'm going to give it a try once I unlock the new cards :)
