Information

If you ever wanted to play Unstable Form + Slope Sergeant in the same deck in constructed, this is your deck. It's even pretty good - I used it to make master this season and I'm currently rank 5 with it.

This is a hard deck to play with a lot of options and tricks, but here are a few basic notes:

1) Although you can get some very aggressive draws with Snowcrust Yeti and Champion of Fury etc, this is not really much like Skycraggro - you are usually more interested in maintaining a strong board presence and getting value from your cards than in doing maximum damage each turn.

2) The best Unstable Form target in the deck is certainly Slope Sergeant (getting Icaria is the dream of course), but Pokpok is also a very good target usually. Unstable Form is also your best answer to opposing Sandstorm Titans and Tavrods, since it usually shrinks them while also removing endurance (enabling Permafrost or Cinder Yeti). Finally, Unstable Form does a good job of breaking aegis.

3) Even outside of Unstable Form, you can do disgusting things with Slope Sergeant in this deck. Two sample (and reasonably common) curves: (a) T2 Fearless Yeti + bond Pokpok, T3 bond Slope Sergeant, discarding snowball and something else; (b) T5 Thudrock + bond Slope Sergeant, discarding excess power (or snowballs, or a grenadin from Granite Waystone). Wump and Warchief can enable even more powerful bond lines, such as chaining multiple Slope Sergeants together in the same turn.

Made an account just to upvote this deck. Been a Gold Rakano player since I installed Eternal. Crafted this deck and hit Master three weeks later. It’s interactive, extremely uncommon on ladder (people will always assume you’re generic Aggro Yeti), and really fun.

I did make one change: as I climbed I found I was running into fewer Harsh Rules and more Xenan and Rakano, so I swapped out two Snowcrust for Ruincrawler Yetis. Served me well.

Thanks iso!

I ended up going -3 Yeti Windflyer for +3 Eilyn's Intervention. Warchief + Intervention is insane! It's been aces so far and makes the deck even stronger I think. The only decks I've really found to be problematic are Combrei and Praxis Mid when it curves out. Outside of removal piles having all the answers, the constant stream of threats and ping damage from an unanswered wump are enough to get you there. Not having Snowcrust Yeti on board after a board wipe can make things difficult. But for the most part, all match ups feel winnable!

I just don't get pokpok. That card is just awful, why is it there? To have snowballs to discard? There's gotta be something better in that slot..
Prometheus Edited Eternal Version: 1.35
Pok Pok is there to bond and unstable form if possible. The snowballs are good with Warchief. Though I switched two Pok Poks for two Ruincrawlers to help vs attachments.
VaylinArcher Edited Eternal Version: 1.31
Pokpok put in some work for me. he gets buffed with wump and warchief and can be hard to stop. quite a few times, snowballs gave me lethal or popped aegis so i could perma. if you have to have a blocker, just hit him with unstable. Going T2 chafu into pokpok, T3 unstable pokpok or bond another pokpok is a great start.

The deck certainly has a steep learning curve to it, but I disagree that you need a "perfect draw".
My experience has been that you just need to play absolutely and completely error-free. One mistake and you've likely lost.
That being said, who doesn't love a yeti deck? haha!
In the most recent match that I played with it, I got the Icaria from SS. That was pretty sweet. :P

I agree, its a hard deck to play, without a perfect draw its very
likely that you will lose.
But still some good ideas in it, but its not consistent enough in my opinion.
VaylinArcher Eternal Version: 1.31
You don't need a perfect draw to win, but you definitely need to have an understanding of your opponents deck. This deck gives you multiple game plans to win with...you just have to know which one to implement.

Thanks for sharing !
Is there any video for playing it? I have a feeling i'm not using it well even though I read the guide here.

Deck has been pretty solid so far! Aside from the obvious, what is your mulligan strategy?
isomorphic Eternal Version: 1.31
Mainly when mulliganing I just try to have a 1- or 2-drop yeti (and functional power). 2-power hands are often fine keeps (e.g. if they contain a crest or a fearless yeti and not too many expensive cards), though 3 power is certainly preferable (and 4 power tends to be fine too if I have a Slope or am on the play).
VaylinArcher Eternal Version: 1.31
went 15-5 which included a 7-0 to close out...amazing deck. despite never getting any super hits off SS with unstable, you just overwhelm the board and once warchief comes down, its all over. I think the biggest thing for this deck is that no one knows what to expect. i don't know how many wins i got because my opp over reached. too bad your secret is out now.
