it's tough, that's for sure, but with the scream package + Hailstorm it can be managed, what other suggestions would you have to change this?

I just change to blue merchant , 7 card to be sure to clean up turn 3/4 and aegis block early was better then letal one I think

I also did this and it's been working out for me. Kerendon Merchant is more consistent for getting reanimation going, but Jennev Merchant shores up the early game so much better (also it doesn't die to ping).

I feel like what merchant you run is very meta dependant, though. I see a lot of merit to running the shadow merchant

I don't think scourge does enough in enough matchups to be included. Against control decks, first flame hitting for 15 is enough.
