I was sort of imagining Call for Aid entering this archetype but I guess drawing 3 cards with HoC has more value in the 4-cost slot.

Call for Aid is definitely an interesting card, and I think there are Temporal lists that can use it very effectively. However, this list isn't trying to ramp past 8-9 power, so Call is a lot less useful. In lists with Brilliant Idea, TGP, and/or Aid of the Hooru I think it's great.
