"GRow" - a new style of Rakano Midrange

Welcome to the freshest hot take on the same rehashed midrange you've been sick of for months.

THE PLAN - Use a multitude of ways to ramp into Rizahn, Caiphus and Telut (with a market slot for Icaria in the lategame). Fall back on using Cookbook to gas back up with your ample excess power.

This is something I originally brewed around the time of the Carnival event, where it went six wins over each of my last three runs (finished top 100 overall). Initial versions of the deck had things like baby Icaria and big Icaria main (both of which were ultimately too slow).

I've since taken it back to ranked and after further tweaking have settled on this list for the past couple hundred games. After a fairly consistent performance for a couple weeks I am finally ready to publish the deck, and I hope you enjoy.

I don't have time to write up a full deck tech, but I'll throw a few notes down here about notable cards and notable exclusions.

Icaria, Valkyrie Captain - Without a stack of valk synergies she ultimately tested too slow, fragile and commital as a ramper. Instead, we defer to...

Rusty Grenamotive - Boy, the extra power really suped this guy up for real play. If you curve him out into Copperhall Bracers, forget about it. Casting him turn 3 and getting both berserk attacks off (very achievable) allows you to cast one of your six drops on turn four. If you have to torch to clear a double block, instead curve it into casting and using Cookbook. He carries high threat level into the lategame with cards like Telut and Shugo Tactics.

Speaking of Copperhall Bracers - If you have the extra power to spellcraft and nothing else to cast, generally use the spellcraft regardless of whether you need it. Not only will it stop random blowouts from spells you don't expect but you never know when you'll need that as your third spell for Rizahn.
