Praxis Warp (Pauper)

I always wanted to build a deck built around Workshop Forge, but its too slow for standard and there aren't enough good warp cards for it. Within the pauper event, the format is finally slow enough to allow warp decks to be viable. And there are enough warp commons to make this deck a thing.

The deck consists of 28 warp cards as the core. They are supported by 8x Ramp units, Talir's Favored and Amber Acolyte, as both not only ramp/fix, but are also invaluable as they draw power out of the deck, increasing the likelihood of having a warp card on top. The same role is fulfilled by Powerbreach Sentinel, only that it also serves as fighter. The Ornate Katana also support the warp-strategy, as drawing a card often reveals a new warp card on the top, so that the the warp engine can keep going. The rest of the deck are 12 cheap burn spells.

The basic strategy for this deck is to burn all the early threats away until you and the opponent are in top deck mode. And as this is a warp deck, topdeck mode is exactly where you want to be as you regularly are able to warp cards. Until then, play defensively and use the grenadin as chump blockers. All the ramping cards should ensure that you have enough power to keep the warp engine rolling. After some turns in top deck mode, all the warp cards should have provided enough card advantage to overwhelm the opponent.

My track record with this deck is 6-3, 6-3, 3-3, 7-2 (exactly 66% winrate).
