Ever wanted to complete the 'deal one million damage' achievement? What if I told you it could be done in one game? The following is probably the most efficient way to get this achievement. What I have here to offer is more of a strategy than a set-in-stone deck; It can be adjusted based upon your budget needs. Let's talk about what is absolutely necessary for the strategy to function

1: 1 copy of Talir's Unwinding
This card is absolutely pivotal to the deck's success. It shuffles both players' decks, allowing the game to continue for a much longer time (and it's going to be a very long game). Its "your opponent draws 7 cards" clause makes it seem so useless, but that is exactly why It's good here. More on that later.

2: 1: Access to the Azindel boss fight at the end of the Vara campaign.
Starting with a high power count makes this much less tedious than if you were to try to get the achievement vs. say, a gauntlet opponent. You will actually need to have the into shadow campaign anyways in order to use the card:

3: Messenger Hawk
Since Talir's Unwinding has voidbound, we will need a way to put more copies into our deck in order to play infinitely.

4: A set of merchants that can fetch your Talir's unwinding.
Since Azindel has ways to discard the top of your deck, it is safer to put Talir's Unwinding in the market. My only advice is to avoid Auralian Merchant because it has no attack, and you will need to have units that can attack to get the achievement.

5: At least one copy of Martyr's Chains This card allows us to get our units to 999/999. More copies is always preferrable, as it allows you to set up your damage engine faster, but once you get going, having more doesn't affect it at all. Remember that you can get a copy of chains in one of the theme decks for 2500 gold if you don't have one.

6: At least one copy of Scourge of Frosthome
this is important because it prevents Azindel from interacting with our units or relics, and ensures that he will do nothing but put units on the board.

7: tutors, cards that let you search your deck for other cards.
The most important one is Display of Knowledge. This lets you grab chains from your deck, and later in the game it lets you swing into deadly units, and use it as a fast spell to give your unit quickdraw-- keeping it alive. Celestial Omen and Rise to the Challenge are also great.

8: a few non-evasive bodies to fill out your board. Prefferably cantripping ones like Temple Scribe and Heart of the Vault because they make it easier to get your set up early. It's important that these units can be blocked by opponent's so you don't win the game. Putting at least one lifesteal unit in your deck can be important so you don't die to nightfall.

9: more cards to fill out your deck so you have 75 cards. I like Frost Talisman because it stabilizes early and you can use your 50 power to dig through a lot of your deck. Card draw in general is nice.

The Strategy
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Before you begin, check the achievements page. See how much damage you need to do to get the achievement and divide that number by 999. Remember the number.

Mulligan for a hand with a good number of combo pieces/card draw. Azindel will go first, so remember that you can use your cards like Display and Celestial Omen on his turn.

Put a Scourge into play as quickly as possible. You really don't want azindel breaking your chains because you will have to use Talir's Unwinding to get them back.

Build up your board to stop his attacks. During this time, get as many chains into play as possible. Remember that if you only have one Chains, you can use a hawk to put more into your deck. Remember also not to play power once you have chains down unless you need to do so to stay alive.

Once you have some 999/999 units on board, you can start attacking. Remember not to attack with more units than he has blockers, or else you will win.

Use Messenger Hawk to make copies of Talir's Unwinding, and then play it. This will give your opponent 7 more cards on his turn so he can build out his board. This will allow you to attack again. Count the number of times one of your unit attacks so that you don't play for too long or not long enough.

use hawk on talir's unwinding enough that there are a lot of talir's unwindings in your deck, but not every single card. You want to be able to cast this almost every turn. Once you have a comfortable number, use hawk only every 4 times you reshuffle.

Attack the sufficient number of times, and then kill azindel. You have gotten the achievement!

I like the deck for farming the 1mil damage achievement. I put in sandstorm scarf, means that you can attack with flying units and they can still be blocked.

I like the idea mentioned with diogo to make everything double strike, halving the time taken.

Rain of frogs makes it really easy to fill the opponents board with frogs, just stop using it when you can consistently get their board full of frogs, also if you can hit the wisps which he gets with frogs thats usually a whole lot of wisps that get hit, because it fills the board every turn you only need something to allow you to overwhelm and finish the game. I used Severin in this case, you can copy him to have 7 on board for infinite draw as long as your hand isnt full, and it gives you the rings which help a lot as well. With the lifegain you get in the deck i added a few masks, and you can get to 300+ power which makes mana issues non existent from there.

I havent had the time to complete the achievement in one game but this is helpful to work towards it!

A+Space with a full board of 999s is good with him having a full board of frogs each turn.

Another thing I would suggest: Cut the draw cards and add some more relics. These stay out of your library, and thus don't clutter it unneccesarily. Just a thing I would suggest...
Z3P1A Edited Eternal Version: 1.45
Have you considered adding a Rain of Frogs? Since the Frogs have Destiny, you could use it to give Azindel additional draw after using Talir's Unwinding, and if you turn spells (which Azindel can't play anyways cause of Scourge) into Frogs, that's more units you can hit to reach the necessary damage even faster.

EDIT: Though if you turn too many cards into Frogs he'll deck himself out I suppose. I made that mistake once while trying to turn every card in the enemy's deck into a Frog during a Gauntlet match.
Nordos Eternal Version: 1.45
Yes, Rain of Frogs is the way. Though beware not to turn too many cards into frogs, since the discardd animation of frogs can take a while as well:

Also some other things to consider: I added Diogo Malaga as one off, as well as rightous fury, Quicksilver Mirror and The Nightfall Revelation (to get rid of power).
gluner Eternal Version: 1.45
You can add Righteous Fury to give all your 999/999s double strike and halve the number of times you need to hit.
Bigguyinblack Edited Eternal Version: 1.45
Better option might be a single copy of Diogo Málaga or Zuberi, Outlands Warlord.
gluner Eternal Version: 1.45
Yeah, Diogo's probably best/fastest. I enjoyed seeing the +1998 green digits each hit, though.
ChangelingRain Eternal Version: 1.45
I believe copying Grinva, Judge of Battles is more effective - you only need to hit 84 attack minimum with 12 grinvas out, since grinva doesn't deal damage from each death individually, so it's much faster - you can usually hit 12 grinvas/84+ attack by turn 6, and all you need to do then is harsh rule for maximum possible damage.
Wispr Eternal Version: 1.45
I must be missing something because this doesn't make any sense to me
HashtagEternal Eternal Version: 1.45
the point is to deal 999 damage to the units not the face, because you want the game to go very long so you can deal 999 damage hundreds of times.
Ranic Eternal Version: 1.45.1
What Changeling is saying is you can easily get 130k damage a game making 12 999/999 grinvas and harsh ruling. Not one game but a lot of damage really fast
