Hey, guys and gals. I have here a pretty fun aggro list. For those of you familiar with the Prowess tag from MtG you will understand what's going on right away. For the rest I will explain. Prowess was the tag given to units with abilities that trigger when you cast a spell. Most are just simple pumps of +1/+1 like we have here, but there are others that do more.
Geomar, the Steel Tempest and
Mila, Exchange Student are examples of others that do a little more, but cost a bit more to play.
The Plan
It's pretty easy to follow. We get a few units into play and start targeting them with our beneficial spells to plump them up nice and fat and then we attack our opponent with them!
Terrazon Echo is generally the main focus and a primary win con. We want to have at least 1 in play. Choosing the right time to win can be tricky. There will be times you want to just go for it and when I do this, I generally want to either have the counter in my hand which is preferred or market access in hand and 4 power ready which is a little riskier but in either case you want to be able to protect your units.
A Hunt/Devour package has been added so that our little units have a chance to grow and become serious threats on their own in case we stumble at keeping cards in our hand. Hunting into advantages is very good for us as it fuels the spell count and gives us the power needed to keep the spells rolling.
Collector Crow was a consideration, but in the end I opted to have more cards for
Preyscouter to devour instead.
Most of the time, roughly 85% of the games I've won have been on the back of a
Terrazon Echo that just flew over my opponent. The other 15%ish has been by just playing 4 or 5 spells in a turn and attacking for a lot of damage.
Anyway, if you were a fan of prowess give this a try. My highest has been a 22/23 Echo on the 2nd attack, I'd like to know what some of your crazy numbers are.
