Information

Momentarily hit rank 1 masters on release of Into Shadow (2018-10-03) with this.

It relies on the obvious synergy of Horde Plunderer + Tome of Repetition for value - killing two Varas with a single Vanquisher's Blade is the ideal outcome.

4x Horde Plunderer is absolutely vital so that you can actually use all of your spellcrafts. I'm not using four Chancellors because without tribute activators they're a liability early game.

Staff of Speed is very situational but occasionally makes the entire enemy hand unplayable.

Knighthawke Eternal Version: 1.40
the 8 merchants is kinda bugging me. have you tried just running jennev for the plunderer in the market and replacing tome with something like hailstorm perhaps?

I played against you a couple times the other day. The deck is really sweet.
Jotun Hurler and Thunderstrike don't have any obvious synergy with the deck, are they being played primarily as cards that you can swap into the market? If so, did you try the Find the Way or Unstable Form?
Knifebloom Eternal Version: 1.39
Yeah they're primarily fodder for the 8 merchants and 4 strategizes but are occasionally very useful. Snowballs deal with turn 1 initiate of the sands and Thunderstrikes are good against Icaria, heavy single target removal decks, and can be pulled back out of the market as a late game power sink after ramping with Tome. I actually started with Find the Way but it's way too slow. It might be good in a more combo oriented deck that runs board clears. Unstable Form is definitely an option, especially if you're running into Hooru Pacifiers. I dislike the randomness it introduces though.

Just ran into you on ladder. Nasty deck when it goes off. Side-benefit: it does a real good Temporal Distortion impression for the first few turns, which can throw decisions off.
Ninjacan Eternal Version: 1.39
I don't really see the purpose of tome in this deck, on turn 4 you play it on plunderer and ramp twice.. and then? the highest power cost you have in the deck is 6, why build your whole deck around a ramping synergy and then have nothing to spend the power on?
Knifebloom Eternal Version: 1.39
The ramp allows you to run very few power sources and still merchant/strategize your power into useful cards. It's also great fixing for the TTJJPP requirement, but the standout feature is getting multiple spellcrafts. I tried using Channel and more chancellors as power sinks but most of my losses were due to a poor early game and not because I had an empty hand with plenty of power. Feel free to experiment and post back with what works for you, but this deck does not exist without Tome of Repetition (I've tried).
WhoTookMyPie Eternal Version: 1.39
Because you can use all spellcraft twice i guess...
Gaze73 Eternal Version: 1.39
I was just about to make a deck like this because of the Tome, good to see it's viable.
