Hi Manu, thanks for your implications in the Eternal Community. I was looking for different versions of Talir Combo since 2 weeks and you posted an article, allowing lots of discussions going on -- which is great!
I'm personnaly running the Charge version but haven't really tried the Killer one. I like having some Dark Return in the deck allowing more choices and better early game. It also doesn't cut combo unless no mana and/or no units in void.
What are your complete thoughts about Initiate of the Sands? It feels underwhelming unless turn 1 and still, sometimes screw your power curve (crests and seats namely).
Also, could you please post your deck version including Devoted Theurge.
the charge kill is worse than the killer one since it is less flexible and u might get to merchant super late in the combo making it hard to get enough charge out and not time out.
well not having a unit in the void and not having an extra power are very likely especially when under pressure. thats why last chance is a massive upgrade. keep in mind +1 power means +1 turn. u might be that next turn. also dark return does nothing for ur early game. in fact it makes it worse. since it will sit dead in ur hand most of the time.
initiate is great and super important and it is not only good on turn 1 it is good in about every turn before the combo.
it is the same deck. just theurge instead of duskwalker as i said in the video.
Hi ManuS, great deck list, as usual!! I got a question, maybe it's a dumb one, in that case I'm sorry. Why no Lumen Reclaimer in the deck?
I know maybe you've explained that in the deck tech video, but I got problems with my pc, so I can't watch the video right now :(
Hope you can answer that question here!! However, keep up the good work, and thanks again for always sharing your knowledge about Eternal with the community!! :)
short answer is it isnt needed and eats up a slot u could play sth useful in. u can just stop the combo any time by saccing talir and voda. so u only ever deck yourself if u missplay. but watch the deck tech once u can to understand the deck better and this issue as well :)
Ok, I managed to see the deck tech at a friend's house a couple of hours ago, and what you told in the video, is perfectly explained, it's useless the Reclaimer in the deck, thanks for making me think about that!!
Thanks again for this deck, let's exploit it before DWD patch something that break the combo! (Talir, or the market that doesn't count anymore as a draw).
