This deck is hugely inspired by Quelsen’s Temporal list:
Temporal control. Shoutouts to him especially for the inclusion of
Saber-Tooth Prideleader which really shines in the early to mid game getting you stabilized. It single-handedly turns aggro matchups into favourable. It’s also a good substitute for
Garden of Omens (which is super powerful but the influence cost slows us down too much).
This version focuses on ramping consistently and setting up overwhelming card draw engine. 5 ramp relics, 4 merchants and plenty of undepleted power guarantee that you stay ahead on tempo and enables you to cast a lot of draw spells early. The new card
Sorcerer's Wand is amazing at filling the gap before you get to 8 for
Temporal Distortion and start chaining draw spells. As for market options, I feel that our ramp is consistent enough so I did not include
Minotaur Ambassador.
Grodov's Burden is another consideration if you get flooded too often. Instead I have
Desert Marshal as an answer to
Scourge of Frosthome.
I’d say this version is pretty competitive in the current meta. It took me to master with a ~ 65% win rate.
