I made this thinking it would be pure jank, but it's surprisingly good. Originally posted as having hit rank 35, I've now hit rank 4 with some updates, especially for smoother power. Idk why I had put crests and cylixes in a tempo deck but they're gone now, good riddance.
Snowballs are so much fun - they're pings, they're modifiable damage, and there's a lot of them. I wish my other decks had half as many pings. Add in the effect of
Nomnom & Sashenka and/or
Rocket Sled(s) from
Torq, Ballistics Crafter and they are extremely useful for crowd control, in addition to their obvious uses for de-aegis and adding a few more face damage for a win.
Look for a starting hand with cards to get your card draw machine going.
Plunk Wumpkin and
Crunch, the Hoarder are great for this. If
Wump, Party Starter is down they hit face for card draw immediately when played. If
Xultan Ambassador is down you get an extra card each.
Icy Scrying helps with draw as well as providing snowballs.
Ruincrawler Yeti is the only unit which isn't a hero and won't proc
Xultan Ambassador's card draw (other than the ambassador himself), but it's necessary in this meta.
Ruinous Rift is expensive, and regardless, even a good 4-of relic removal + something in the market isn't enough these days.
Note: Attempts were made to make
Wump & Mizo,
Thudrock's Masterwork, and
Wizened Crone work with this deck, but they just don't. There are occasional cool plays, but the deck suffers overall. It's very much tempo and you can't afford to make slow plays in the hopes of your units sticking while getting synergistic draw. The site is particularly terrible, the worst in the game imo. The spells are weak and there isn't a player showing blue or purple who doesn't have a ping in hand to zap its 1 health.
Thudrock, Arctic Artisan is good, but you don't need the site to get him, there are two copies in the deck.
