I built this deck for people that are brand new to Eternal. Grinding gauntlet is a good way to get to the game, as well as the fastest way to get gold. This deck can be built on the 1st day of playing Eternal, since most of the cards are either common or obtained from the starting campaign, yet it’s capable of grinding Master Gauntlet pretty fast and consistently.
The game plan is to ignore anything your AI opponent plays and get’em down ASAP with life-stealing fliers.
Thus the core part of this deck is
Silverwing Familiar and
Unseen Commando. Life-stealing fliers can not only attack your opponent consistently, but also gain you a ton of life and make you never worried about blocking. Besides,
Silverwing Familiar has aegis which makes it an even better weapon carrier.
Unseen Commando has the perfect 334 flying lifesteal body. He also buffs almost your whole team, or even buffs each other multiple times. It’s the only rare in this deck. I recommend crafting 4 of each, cuz they’re busted in gauntlet and also very playable in constructed.
For other units, we have
-
Oni Ronin: the best 1 drop in the game, and a common
-
Pyroknight: A decent 1 drop and a good power sink, get one free copy from campaign so might as well bring it
-
Rakano Outlaw: one of the best 2 drops, her quickdraw ability synergizes well with weapons, and warcry has the potential to spiral out of control in the early game.
-
Rebel Sharpshooter: with a weapon she has quickdraw, the 333 body is decent, overall a fine common to put in
-
Whirling Duo: A good body with charge and lifesteal, gains you a lot of tempo when you’re behind, very strong if buffed by warcry, also constructed playable.
The one way we can lose is if the opponent plays a big flying blocker and we can no longer gain back any life. Thus we need the following removals/combat tricks to keep the sky clear
-
Vanquish: gains you a lot of tempo by removing a big guy with only 2 power, especially when you’re stuck on power. Also a great constructed card
-
Valkyrie Enforcer: I put it in the “removal” section because silencing a big flying blocker or a problematic ground unit (such as
Sandstorm Titan) is as good as removing them. Also he happens to have a great body, and the flying ability makes him a decent weapon carrier. He’s only an 1-of because he is a rare, you get one from campaign and he’s not as important as
Unseen Commando. But if you’ve got the dust, I recommend crafting him first, he’s also an all star in constructed
-
Finest Hour: harder to make work than
Vanquish, but deals with aegis fliers and breaks board stall when the opponent has a big gang of fliers.
Let’s have a look at weapons:
-
Ornate Katana: replaces itself, the +2 attack buff synergizes well with flying lifesteal / quickdraw, constructed playable and a common
-
Ruination Sledge: +3/+1 is a good deal for 2 power, don’t really care about the spellcraft, a pretty decent common
-
Mantle of Justice: falls a little short in the early game, can be very scary in the late game, and you get 4 free copies from the campaign.
Last but not least, I’d like to talk about the power base. Normally an aggro deck runs 25~27 power on ladder, but in gauntlet you don’t ever wanna get power screwed, cuz the prize is worth it only if you get all the way to 7 wins. Therefore this deck runs 27 power + 4 seek (a total of 31 sources) to always get enough power. Since it top out at 4, I included 4
Emerald Monument to help with flooding issues, as the +3/+3 weapon is good on any of our units.

Thanks for listening to my thoughts and I hope you’ll enjoy this deck.
