Hello everyone, this deck is totally experimental to mess with the new game mechanic Surge. This deck is not very good in Throne format and somewhat good in Gauntlet but it's hugely fun and sometimes surprise your opponents by sudden OTK on 5th even 4th turn.
The main hero of this deck is Silvercrest Purifier. Your intention will be keep him alive for one turn then attack with him. Surge mechanic will give you double stat for every new influence you play in that turn so decimated Reap or Memento Mori will give him 32 times stat. Practically that alone can win you the game by face dmg and Aamri's Choice can take care of any number of defenders( just use Aamri's choice before Reap). It's tough to keep one 1/1 unit alive in board and get a copy of reap and Amari's choice same time, but when it happen you can imagine your opponents face.
P. S. -- This is my first post here. Please comment to make this piece of junk better. Thank you.
- Silent Hysteria is fun for using Silvercrest Purifier as a blocker and wrecking their plans.
- Enter the Monastery pretty much always fires off it's conditional effect. It's handy with Hojan, Crownbreaker and the like. I also tried using Order of the Spire, he liked it.
- Battery Mage + Insatiable Serasaur if you've gotta draw/play power cards these two can be a hoot.
- Mantle of Justice + Timekeeper if you already have the influence, why not capitalize on it?
- Vodakhan, Temple Speaker is fun by himself, but with Omenscar Wurm it's delightful insanity!
- I had a large deck for messing around, I combined those last two with A New Tomorrow in Gauntlet. I couldn't stop laughing at how many cards I drew.
- Both Grodov Evangel and Kodosh Evangel were okay, I liked the life stealing more and ultimately cut Grodov.
- I really like having Ephemeral Wisps as chump blockers. I also added Meditation to my deck and the wisps are good targets for it if you aren't getting combo pieces.
- The deck was really weak to flyers, I added Scorpion Wasp as a generic answer; they're not a bad fit. The AI never expects their ambush and hates attacking into deadly so it can stall quite a bit. Another decent target for the +2/+2 from Meditation.
- I tried all the usual Empower: gain +x/+x cards and attachments. They all perform well in this deck too but none earned a permanent spot.
- Mystic Ascendant might be really good, especially with Vodakhan, Temple Speaker; but I don't have any to test this.
- I have not tried Civic Peacekeeper or Martyr's Chains yet.
