Edit
Touch of Force was removed as it was too situational most of the time and wasn't worth keeping. It was replaced with a playset of
Permafrost.
Into the Furnace was replaced with
Cyber Combustion as it adds more versatility against other swarm decks.
Coalscrounger is objectively better than
Disassembler and more copies were added and taken out, respectively. Power Cards have been adjusted to allow use of Primal Faction cards.
After the edit, it plays very well and has become even more consistent. Highly recommend this deck, it's one of my more consistent decks and it's my fastest Gauntlet deck. It does compromise some consistency for speed, but this is probably my choice Gauntlet deck at the moment. For consistency but at slower speed, check out my Infinite Ping deck!
Tips
Prioritize keeping your units alive. The burn spells are to mainly remove enemy units (yes, even the 1-health units in most situations), allowing yourself to clear the board and get in free attacks. Everything is cheap, so you can cheese out
Invasive Species by emptying your hand. Keep in mind though that I built this deck to cheese out
Invasive Species for extra damage, but you should still be mindful of using your spells when necessary- don't waste them just to play
Invasive Species.
Whatever can't die with one burn spell, just use a Permafrost in most situations (4+ health units).
Cyber Combustion as stated above, is really good for wiping out several of your opponents units. If you have a
Coalscrounger in hand, along with another Grenadin, but can only play one on a given turn, play
Coalscrounger afterward, so you can benefit from the attack boost. You however can use the burn spells to finish your opponent off if you dwindle them down enough!
NEVER use the burn spells directly on your opponent until you have a confirmed lethal, otherwise, it's best to save them for units.
Scrap Hound is probably the MVP of this deck. Having a 6/6 on turn 4 is amazing. Sure, you sac a Grenadin, but because this deck generates a good amount of Grenadin tokens, a 6/6
Scrap Hound is so worth it. Alongside with the bountiful removal spells, you're most likely able to cheese in 6 damage at a time, or you're going to remove some units with the
Scrap Hound.
Optional
The two copies of
Disassembler do not add much to the deck. If wanted, you can replace it/upgrade it with a different card of your choosing. Perhaps
Shavka's Lute to boost up more Grenadins, or maybe a couple copies of
Polymorph for even more removal.
Wisdom of the Elders is also great for card draw.
If you want to keep the unit number consistent, maybe consider replacing with
Spark Hatcher,
Assembly Line,
Volatile Grenadin (recommended),
Rusty Grenamotive(recommended),
Scrap Heap,
Toppletower,
Downdark Scrounger(recommended),
Rage Grafter(recommended),
Grubbot, or
Shorthopper.
Just a neat little deck for really fast Gauntlet playthroughs.
Currently playtesting, but it looks really good so far. After some more playtesting, I'll see if I can optimize the deck after several more Gauntlet runs.
Fast Gauntlet playthroughs, very little thinking to be successful.
The Double Damage spell
Touch of Force is mainly for
Disassembler to double the ping damage. If preferred, it can be replaced with another damage spell, such as
Sear. However,
Touch of Force is also very great when used on a
Scrap Hound or a
Magmahound when you can cheese in free damage. Combining
Touch of Force with
Shugo Tactics is also a lot of free damage.
Invasive Species is just hanging out in the Market. I may add in some Primal Influence cards to play it. It's currently not necessary, but it definitely can be used if wanted.
