So, this is a bugdet deck without any rare or above cards. It is solely a gauntlet deck, since it bases on one glaring weakness of the AI: It does not take instants (fast spells) into account.
The playstyle is pretty straightforward: Attack with your creatures, try to get the AI to block with his units (the more units the better, which is the reason for high health creatures in this deck like
Auric Sentry) and then play a trick to in conclusion kill all blocking creatures (or at least multiple). Often you can get 2 creatures with one of yours, either direct or indirect (
Spire Spellsword getting buffed, which the AI does not realize either).
Wind Conjuring is quite valuable to decimate in order to find additional pieces while also being a strong trick.
Willbreaker has the advantage, that due to double damage the tricks can turn to lethal quite fast, as well as debuffing flying units (something this deck tends to struggle a bit with), the shade can also provide a valuable blocker (or additional debuff)
Thank you for sharing this, as I am now 14-0 in Gaunlet in my first 2 attempts... You rock!
It has next to no combat tricks, save teleport and refresh/bolster. Both of which aren't exactly efficient. And if you want to add killer in it, then I would say, that this is the wrong deck for it. Same goes for unlocking potential, since this deck doesn't go wide. Siphon Vitality would be interesting and strong, but again - not the right deck.
No, if there is another color that would be fitting, it would be Fire. Fevered Scout, Wildfire Cenari, Shugo Standard, Pummel, Rampage, even Torch. Sure, it does not have a unit that has the buff permanently, but ... well.
I prefered black due tot he quickdraw ability. While overwhelm is a strong one as well in this deck, I kinda liked shadow more. But if you were to build an Alessi deck out of this one, you could just as well start from scratch, since the differences are enorm.
If you have Into the Shadow, Telut, Queen's Hand would be a good heavy hitter. Otherwise, Rolant's Honor Guard (since you already start with it). If you go with shadow market, Thief's Pick is very good.
Things for upgrade... I kinda like Rilgon's Disciple in this deck. The double damage can turn around some games with a sudden burst of damage. Another option is to go on a bit of different tangent, with things like Memory Dredger. AI can't handle this one either, so you can just attack with a cost 1-2 creature, which gets revived in the same turn if memory dregder hits the player. Also, I kinda like Fenris Nightshade together with Lifespeaker. If he gets lifesteal, you can simply draw a card for 3.
As for other green cards... There are the obligatory strong ones, namely Unseen Commando and Valkyrie Enforcer. Also interesting could be Hooru Envoy to redraw a bit after using tricks. Sheriff Marley would be interesting due to Aegis, but I think that Konsul Battlemage already fills that role.
For a legendary, Geomar, the Steel Tempest would fit very well into this deck. Amilli, Cloudmarshal is also very strong and generates value. Crownwatch Traitor looks strong as well, due to having quickdraw and good statlines. Inquisitor Makto can be used as a semi card advantage, because he will return at some point, unless he gets silenced.
All in all, I created this deck mainly for bugdet purpose and didn't think that much about other add ins - sorry :P
