Cornerstone of the deck is the interaction between Stronghold's Visage and Hatecleaver.

Standard stock removal pile. Plenty of silence. Card draw is in the form of Wanted Poster/Temple Scribe/Moondial. Banish is in for the flexibility vs other relics/aggro - but could definitely swap 2 out for annihilate or suffocate.

Temporal Distortion to be annoying. Fast casting Madness/Devour during the opponents attack phase is really gratifying.

Win cons include: playing cleaver on top of a visage and it staying on the board, lethal damage with Madness, and decking your opponent.

Plenty of room for improvements in the removal pile and card draw. The one main downside is the lack of crests in the color scheme to expedite cycling cards you don't need.

Deck needed more draw and a streamlined version - the basics remain but inserted were 4 madness and 4 devour - card draw/creature shenanigans.

I don't disagree necessarily. I think it definitely depends on what you're facing - but I can say using disjunction to pull a 10/22 cleaver out is pretty nice as well.

Yeah, but 2 swords increase your win condition cards by 50% and they're much more durable than cleavers. In my last game I kept a greedy hand and started hitting a guy with a sky sword from turn 8 for an easy fast win. Without the sword a game can easily last 15 minutes, because the dream combo of visages, bauble, a lot of armor, hatecleaver and an empty board is not that easy to achieve. Also, since you have barely any units, people have 4 torches ready for your cleaver, some even lightning strikes and such. Sky sword doesn't care about such nonsense.
