This deck got me quickly to Master Throne in a few days in early 2020. I have not bothered to try and increase my rank with it.
In short, it is an Oni/Paladin hybrid deck that I crafted based on super budget Oni decks that are really hit & miss. We have some Onis present here but not too many because their value is highly over-exaggerated.
Hero of the People and
Kira, the Prodigy are our main win conditions and they are unstoppable mid-game. One unit gains permanent value from spells, the other, permanent value from units and temporary value from spells. Therefore we have 2/4 accordingly.
The legendaries are free with the purchase of some campaign and one deck. Obviously we make use of them. If you don't own these campaigns you should buy them anyway.
People keep complaining about card draw in Throne so here we have Infinite card draw possibility thanks to both red relics in our market paired with
Oni Quartermaster and of course Jishu, The Burning Brush. We also have some silence/kill and potent curse removal thanks to
Ruination Sledge and
Cleansing Rain which prevents us from getting bogged down.
Cleansing Rain is also an awesome card to use before
Harsh Rule to keep all your units alive.
A board clear standing by that still allows you to keep your
Hero of the People so long as she has an Aegis, or any other unit with Aegis. You could swap this for
Leave a Witness but power-wise it is a very expensive card (and a legendary). I do not recommend
End of the Story instead as a lot of its value comes from Warp which is useless for cards in the market and it has an increased cost by 1.
Everything else should be obvious. Your starting hand should have at least 1
Hero of the People and preferably
Ghostblade Outcast and either a Prancing Griffin or
Crownwatch Paladin.
Please feel free to comment.
And i think the power of End of Story isnt really the Warp but the Tribute effect, a non negatable Harsh Rule is kinda strong these days. :)
