Hurler pops Aegis, kills small units, gives you two cards to put away with Strategize and Merchant, and activates tribute if you don't draw Combustion Cell by killing your own Grenadin. Aeva is a 9th payoff card beyond End of Hostilities and Kenna, as you need some more density of those. Other people play Channel the Tempest or Molot & Nakova in that slot, bu I like having the cheaper card that also prevents you from getting overrun in the air.
