The ShiftstonedEternal Power Calculator is a deck-building tool that visualizes your odds of drawing enough Influence and Power based specifically on the cards found in your deck.
Maul! I went 21-7 in the last ECQ qualifier (lost in t64) and 10-5 in the qualifier for this event, and in the actual tournament I beat Hooru Pledge and FTJ (twice) before falling to TheBoxer's Argenport.
Maul tends to be viewed as a meta deck to punish greed piles but it has real game against anything other than Combrei - your units actually battle well against other aggro decks and the market Crystallize is a game winner. Combrei is an unwinnable matchup though - you can't realistically beat a Stand Together, let alone the large amount of silence effects that deck runs.
I swapped Gloaming Wisp for Initiate of the Sands for this event. I wanted the higher upside for nut draws, and of course a 25 power deck with no Seek Power effects can struggle to hit its power, so Initiate is a help. The only other maindeck thing I'm unsure about is the power base - 4 Banner, 4 Insignia, and 4 Diplo are necessary, and the rest is sort of up to preference. I would definitely recommend the 4 Amber Waystone remain if you want to fiddle, as the life gain really matters here. You want a few Sigils to benefit from enemy Ice Bolts. The Crests are iffy but you have enough 2-drops that you can play them on 3 and remain on curve, and often once the game gets to turn 5-6 you're desperately trying to find a specific card (usually Cykalis, Merchant, or Maul).
The Market can be tinkered with as well. I would always leave the Crystallize and Maul. I think there should be spell negation of some sort - I went with Swift Refusal for the ability to Merchant on turn 4 and hold it up for Harsh Rule. You need at least one removal spell. I like Permafrost as the cheapest one, but it's reasonable to play all 4 maindeck and use this spot for something else. I've tended to play 2 removal spells in the market (hence the Ice Bolt here) but I never fetched the Ice Bolt in this tournament, so 2 removal spells may not be necessary. I'm not convinced Maul needs a market power, but if you want one I would swap it for one of the 2 removal spells.
