Information

- Having one or more board wipes in the opening hand is important.
- Card draw can help supplement if the the draw is not on your side.
- Play as few units as possible until you are out of board wipes.
- Save the Tranquil Scholar for a Champion of Order
- Mass copying of Svetya, Orene of Kosul and Aniyah, Artic Sheriff can win games by itself.
- Playing Sudden Schism on Aniyah, Artic Sheriff in reaction to a removal spell for the Aegis & +2/+2 on the copied unit is awesome.
- If the opponent has cards in hand try to save Champion of Order till you can immidiately copy it with Mirror Image or Sudden Schism.

Still not sure just how good it is but It's got a ~50% win rate in low master's with about a 40 game sample set. Mass copying is definitely fun though.

Edit: Removed Scholar for Spiritward Shaman for more consistent protection for Champion of Order and Aniyah, Artic Sheriff. I also swapped Seek Power for Vanquish as I haven't had issues getting to 5 sigils or staying on power curve and the Vanquish is a much needed tool against Vara.

Velsevul Eternal Version: 1.42.3
Interesting approach. But I'd change Frogs with Vanquish (agains Vara) and consider 1 or 2 Negate in main deck and/or market. Also, how this deck deal with buildings and Void-recursive decks like Haunted builds or Reanimators?
RippedPanda Eternal Version: 1.42.3
That would be where the Frogs come in. The rain take's out key cards in basically every deck. Aside from that you can usually copy Aniyah a bunch to lock down the creatures that would be reanimated.

I am considering pulling the seeks for vanquish though. It's very rare I don't have the influence I need by the time I play champion.

I've seen a couple of Champion of Order decks recently, and this one is my favorite. Svetya is kinda lame with 20 units but her summon ability is really nice so she's probably worth.

I haven't tried building it but it seems like you could run 8 merchants and 4 Spiritward Shaman to get a Aegis champ on turn 5 pretty consistently. Not really sure how to build that deck but it seems like it might be worth trying.

What's funny is I had completely forgotten about Svetya's pay ability when I put her in. The spellblock affect is great for protecting champ and copy chaining it is great for stalling.

My problem with shaman is she doesn't have Aegis herself. She usually just eats removal and I'm not really a fan of the green merchant.

I just posted an 8 merchant Spiritward Shaman/Champion of Order deck modeled after my other comment if you're interested. It's pretty rough but it should give an idea of what I was talking about.
goldstarbrother Edited Eternal Version: 1.42.3
Yeah that's legit, I don't really think that setup would work in this deck anyway. You'd have to find some other things to make Shaman and 8 Merchants worth it, and that might be too much to be a good deck. But if it does work it'd be very consistent, and it's the only way to play a champ with Aegis on turn 5 AFAIK. I just thought I'd mention it since I haven't really tried it but I've had the idea for a while, maybe someone wants to try to make it work.

I'm thinking you'd play a lot of units for more Shaman hits and to bait out removal before the important units. Basically it'd be a midrange deck with a lot of units that are good with Aegis. I don't think you actually want Champ in a control deck because IMO the best way to not have your 5 cost unit survive is to force them to use all their removal before you play it. You could also wait until 7+ to play it with protection but I think that's less reliable than just building your curve so it uses up their removal.

I've gotten aegis on Champion early with Scholar, but I still just feel bad about playing Scholar. I'm considering replacing him with Hojun.
goldstarbrother Edited Eternal Version: 1.42.3
I really like the idea of giving Champion extra battle skills! But unfortunately you're probably right and Scholar probably doesn't do enough for this deck. Hojan might be good but you don't have any cheap Renown activators so you won't get max value out of him. He might still be worth, but since you have Aniyah too I'd say you should try to find room for something like Levitate or Finest Hour if you add him.
