An Argenport midrange deck that got me to top 10 masters. The name comes from
Rolant, Iron Tyrant and
Telut, The Iron Gate.
The basic idea is to generate a lot of justice influence while keeping the board in check with cheap shadow removal. Then we can start playing justice influence payoffs like Rolant and Telut as well as
Silverblade Intrusion Backbreaker.
Units
Kodosh Evangel and
Jadehorn help make sure we get lots of justice influence quickly and can clog the ground against aggro. Jadehorn can also help make Backbreaker even more ridiculous. Rolant grows and makes annoying deadly fliers with every removal spell we play (and if you can get those deadly fliers into combat, you'll kill things and get even more). Telut trims down enemy units often by two since we have 16 power cards with double influence and can also build up a backbreaker.
Feartracker gives us a bit of reach and can help stabilize against aggro (and lines up really well against
Nullblade). It's possible this could be
Silverblade Menace but the bigger body seems like it has some value.
Removal
Backbreaker is super powerful in a deck that regularly has 5+ justice influence by turn 5 often killing multiple things or presenting a very fast clock against an opponent with few units. The rest of the removal isn't especially synergistic and is mostly just "what shadow cards are in the expedition with the word 'kill' on them." Although
Suffocate gets a bit of extra value with Telut since he can trim down units until they are small enough to target.
The Rest
Silverblade Intrusion can protect our units from some removal but it is also fine to just fire it off whenever we're getting two
Valkyrie Denouncers of it.
Beseech the Throne smooths out out draws.
Fearless Crescendo gives us some pseudo reach and market access.
Market
*
Disrupt is one of the only ways to kill a relic in our factions
*
Kodosh's Armor can be a hard to answer threat in the late game or if we are flooding out
*
Equalize is mostly a sweeper against aggro but we can also grab it if we get to far behind on cards in hand
*
Master's Blade is removal that offers a bit of extra value. This could be
Devouring Shadow but then we couldn't get it with
Justice Etchings
*
Wind Conjuring can protect against damage based removal, be a combat trick or break something out of permafrost. And we can also decimate it when flooded
