Basic idea: attach
Dramatist's Mask to something, protect it for one turn, then ride the ensuing advantage to victory. OTK is not the plan.
When the mask fetches
Spirit of Resistance, the spirit wipes the entire board (including the newly attached mask) and gets charge. Swing in for 10. With no board, your opponent will have a hard time recovering.
I haven't seen many lists here that take advantage of how
Dramatist's Mask interacts with
Spirit of Resistance, so here's my take on it. Most mask lists run
First Flame as their finisher and try to finish the game in one swing, but I haven't found much success with that strategy. Better to wipe their board first. :)
A few notes about important interactions:
Mobilization,
Assembly Line,
Emblem of Linrei, and
Emblem of Shavka give you units to play the mask without filling your deck with junk units. The tokens can also block to buy you time.
Transpose is your entire combo in one card. Fetch
Bladecrafter to fetch the mask and create a body to attach it to.
Dragon Forge can also fetch the mask, meaning we're basically running 12 copies of the mask.
Dazzle can protect your masked unit (if you can wait until turn 5 or 6). Otherwise,
Emblem of Linrei can create an aegis unit with its own protection.
Strategize is an important way replace expensive spirits you can't play with gas you can play.
Hammerhand is a nice alternative mask fetch with low enough cost that you can sometimes play her straight.
Edge of Uprising is a good thing to fetch with
Bladecrafter or
Dragon Forge if you don't need a mask. You can sometimes cheat it out early since your little 1-attack tokens reduce its cost.
Garden of Omens answers lots of threats, and it
isn't removed by the spirit.
Ulixa, Unspoken Terror is a nice market addition that can (1) provide a beefy maskable body, (2) interfere with your opponent's plan, (3) convert your expensive hammers and spirits into playable cards.
