Most of you might know this case:
You lie in bed and your Eternal addiction wont let you sleep, always thinking about the next undefeatable deck you want to create.
It's never gonna happen, AI hates you!
Once you get used to that, you will find a way to live with it... somehow...
OR
You just make a Stranger deck and harrass the AI in any kinda given way there is!
So here it is!
I'm averaging at about 3 mins per match (I know, it's not World Record :( )
The Gameplan is also pretty simple, since its aggro duh...
Use the few removals there are,
Torch &
Kairos' Choice to keep the board clean in the early game, giving you space to field your Strangers and hit face with them.
Most of the card picks are obivous choices to most of you:
Ruthless Stranger - solid turn 1 drop and also useful in the later stages.
Seek Power - Use it even if you don't need the sigils, it thins out your deck and makes
Clever Stranger more valuable later on.
Magnificent Stranger,
Covetous Stranger &
Varret, Hero-in-Training were the best 2 drops I could find and are sort of a must have, since they all work to together to keep up your pressure on the board.
Determined Stranger &
Battle-Tested Stranger are your "Buffs"
Strange Gladiator is also a nice buff to boost your higher cost units before fielding
Auralian Supplier, as we try to field a lot of Strangers as fast as possible, this little guy is our choice for card draw. Most of the time we will get a double draw out of him and with
Kairos' Choice we can use him multiple times
Clever Stranger is a good pick with
Traver's Farm early on to get steady board presence.
Grodov's Stranger is a must-have because broken :P. Should also be picked with
Traver's Farm (I tried to run 4 copies of him a few times, but that just slowed the deck a lot)
Traver's Farm - that's the one i was very undecisive at the beginning, because of Stranger's Mask being completely useless, as i didn't run
Auralian Supplier. I ran Praxis stranger, more Grodovs and Clevers... turned out that was wrong
There's probably a way to integrate a Market in here too, but the deck runs extremely smooth without it. Yet if i had to integrate it somehow, i'd probably take out 2x
Seek Power and 2 random Stranger units.
Edit:
For Budget:
- Remove
Varret, Hero-in-Training and add
Praxis Stranger
- Remove
Grodov's Stranger and add a fourth copy of
Battle-Tested Stranger
Update:
- Added a
Soaring Stranger to be pulled with
Traver's Farm if needed to get in the final push.
- Swapped
Praxis Insignia for
Diplomatic Seal
- Add 1P Sigil to be pulled with
Seek Power or use
Diplomatic Seal. It does work quite well, haven't had a game so far, where I didn't get the chance to draw it.
1. Outvalue your opponent - meaning you boost your units with Strange Gladiator and spam the board. Also make use of Unity Within and don't be scared to play several Traver's Farm to get several Triumphant Strangers. This seems to be the more reliable method.
2. Rush no matter what - this is extremely reliant on your starting hand. You need 3 Power, none depleted, Ruthless Stranger Magnificent Stranger Covetous Stranger Varret, Hero-in-Training Strange Gladiator, any of the 3 work and 1 removal. Then just go all aggro and hope the AI wont screw your upcoming draw.
As said, this is my personal experience and I almost never have any Problems against the other Strangers.
