Another one.

Everyone is playing this deck, especially post FTS Nerf, so I thought I would share the version that got me to masters this month! I think the biggest difference in my list from others is no Avoid Death in the main and 4 Karvet, Solar Dragon in the main. Avoid Death 2-4 always felt underwhelming, and drawing them late was always a sad thing, so I moved 1 to market and added more threats to stabilize.Solar Karvet has saved me so many times, I have lost count. I can't understand why no one is running this card. Karvet, Redeemed has been awesome and I probably want more, I just don't know what to cut. Hope you enjoy the same ol' deck that everyone is playing now!

Hello, I'm playing a similar deck that just got me into masters. Often mono-shadow can win games just because of the individual power of the cards, but you won't always draw the cards you want in the order you want. That's why I'd make the following suggestions:

1. Your deck is too top heavy. With 11 (!) 6 drops, you are going to have hands where these cards rot in your hand or you don't have enough power while your opponent is beating you down. Right now, Icaria is the only 6 drop I run.

2. You don't have enough early interaction. Right now you only have one 2 drop (admittedly, Blightmoth may be the best card in Expedition right now) and one 3 drop. I would definitely add Marionette Cross, which is just bigger than anything else at that stage. Other cards to consider include Dreamsnatcher, Makkar's Quiver, and the elf Sabateur. (I could see Varret here as well).

3. Any reason you aren't playing Incarnus?

4. I also have fallen in love with Karvet, Redeemed mostly because it gives the deck a real 5 drop and its just a big, beefy flyer that opposing fire/time decks have a hard time dealing with.

Good luck!

Thanks for the suggestions! I have changed a few things, like added more early interaction, took out a timepiece, went to 4 Karvet, Redeemed and only 2 Karvet, Solar Dragon.

I really REALLY don't like Incarnus for this deck. While the invoke is nice, the body is not and I don't feel like I am getting much when I use it, as it dies to one piece of removal, where everything else takes 2 or 3 cards to kill it. I want to be control first, aggro second. Maybe I'm wrong, but that is how I feel.

I added Cross and love it!

My big thing with the other shadow decks I see is that once they remove everything, they don't have enough big threats to keep pressure going and most the time losing Icaria or Karvet was back breaking. This is why I am at a higher density of big bois.

I am going to build a list with some of the changes you recommended and see how I like though! I don't want to be that guy who thinks his list is perfect and never tests the waters! I will get back to you after I have done more research!
