A greedy control deck that tries to out-value the opponent. Lots of cards try to enable a 2-for-1 trade. The deck lacks consistency but it makes up for it by being flexible and just plain fun. If you hate randomness this might not be for you.
Win Condition
The goal is to re-draw as many copies of
Nictotraxian or
Clockroach as possible while maintaining board control.
Optimally you get a
Crown of Possibilities out early to add additional value to your draws. A
Nictotraxian with Echo is the ultimate value generator.
Overview
Other value generating cards that have the ability to 2-for-1 include:
-
Knight-Chancellor Siraf: Priority is to keep this alive and use its ability
-
The Great Parliament: Can be played early at 4 power or later for more value
-
Mystic Ascendant: Always play this as a 7-drop to guarantee as many card draws as possible. Giving this Aegis or Echo with Crown is the dream.
-
Lightning Storm: Flexible, can remove Aegis to prepare for
Harsh Rule
-
Withering Witch: Mostly used with
Lightning Storm
-
Harsh Rule: Hopefully you can play this around 5 power to reset the board state
Discussion
The deck is a bit all over the place and as such not super consistent. So far it has only been tried at Silver rank, but win percentage was over 50%. I mostly play this to have fun, not as a try-hard climb the ranks deck.
I rarely ran into power issues, that part should be in a pretty good state. Early on you need Time to fetch more power and Primal to draw cards. You can probably wait pulling the single Fire or Shadow sigil until very late into the game.
Cards like
Sandstorm Titan are currently included because they provide good value for the power and also to help survive against flying threats.
If you have any feedback, I'd be happy to hear it in the comments.
Good luck and have fun!
