if you can ever play it on crow before it berserks, the potential value is absolutely insane: 12 damage, 2 drawn spells, and a permanent ramp of 2 sigils.
it also allows you to safely swing/maintain pressure with Crownwatch Paladin and Kosul Battlemage (turning him into a 4/4 or even higher in the process, punching through white merchants)
later, it can provide a sudden burst of damage from an aegis popped Shelterwing Rider
and in general, any of the ramp it provides can get you closer to Rizahn, Greatbow Master and Icaria, the Liberator
if you wanted a replacement with similar potential value for your crow, maybe Hammer of Might?
otherwise Vanquisher's Blade are fine, but i'm not wild about more 5 mana equipment.
