This is what I reverse engineered from:
This is my grinder, this is my...
The fundamentals remain unchanged. Ramp to big units, use killer and deadly to control the board.
After some preliminary testing...
Pillar of Amar is too expensive to main deck. Trying
Infused Guardian instead.
I left the market largely open for your own tinkering and whatever rare or legendary cards you have.
Sandstorm Scarf feels like a necessary evil in the absence of
Sandstorm Titan. So, token rare.
In a similar vein, I’m running 27 power here mostly for creative wiggle room. There might be two top end cards you could run 3 of to squeeze another 4 of in if you drop that to 25. YMMV, but I felt in the absence of Worldbearer and Ixtol, a little extra power couldn’t hurt.
I’m not sure what a good plan for upgrading would be as none of the replacements are one for one. That said, crafting the merchant would probably my “step one.” After that, probably
Grodov's Burden in the market.
Powerbreach Sentinel is terrible. Replace with
Worldbearer Behemoth as soon as you can. Or,
Ixtol, Champion of Grodov. Or, a mix of both. But, Powerbreach is just... oof. Unfortunately, for what it does ramping and filtering, I don’t think there is a better budget option. Maybe... just another “Maximum Power” buffer?
A note about
Water of Life: this might seem odd, but it’s market, discard, and plunder fodder. Once in a while, you’ll actually cast it.
I don’t like depleted power in this. You want to ramp as fast as you can and depleted power doesn’t get you there fast enough. Runes, Sketches, and Waystones to taste. I really like Waystones and Runes.
