It wins via an endless stream of hatchlings. Synergy spells do some combination of cloning, enlarging or reducing the cost of hatchlings. It has a strong interactive element that helps us clear away pesky icarias and sandstorm titans and stall out aggro. It is also has a strong plan against removal pile as any 1:1 removal is a bad trade against echo creatures. It durdles a bit in the early game but mid-late game is exciting. Lots of 2, 3 and 4 drops means a lot of interesting sequencing decisions. Unfortunately, the overall power level isn't quite high enough to win games consistently against top tier decks.
Strategy
The deck has some unintuitive lines of play, and the strategy changes based on the matchup. I will add to this list as a go.
* eagerly trade off hatchlings for worse creatures against skycrag aggro. You should never run out of hatchlings unless you draw very poorly.
* Don't always play out your last hatchling unless you really need to or have a meditation in hand. There are 8 second sights and 3 twinning rituals in the deck and you don't want them to be dead draws. There are also 8 merchants to find more combo pieces (so be careful to save one unnecessary card in your hand)
* Save equivocates and wasps for high value targets - hatchlings and merchants are good blockers. You don't need to go wide to win, and normally won't unless you're racing a deck full of ground creatures.
