OVERVIEW: This is my take on the Stranger Burn deck. To the uninitiated, the goal of Stranger Burn is to play strangers to build up Fire influence for a big Flash Fire. It's not unusual to have approximately 8 influence the moment you hit 5 power in this type of deck. My list is greedy as there are no Time sigils, relying only on Seats, Banners, and Praxis Strangers for Time source. You'll be forced to mulligan if there are no Time sources in your opening hand. The list is overall a budget one, with the only rares being Xenan Obelisk and Obliterates, which are both staples.
GAMEPLAY: The deck plays like a standard Obelisk deck. Don't hesitate to trade your non-hero strangers to opposing units as their main function is to build up Fire influence. The list also lacks hard removal so you'd be forced anyway to trade. Flash Fire is your finisher and also gives the deck some sort of inevitability in case of stalled board. Obliterate, Torch, and Flame Blast serve as complementary burn and/or removal. Take note that Praxis Stranger is your 9th to 12th source of Time influence. Since the deck runs on one Time influence, having one in your opening hand is enough even though you don't have seats or banners.
FINAL NOTES: The deck works exceptionally well too in gauntlet. Its bad MU includes lifesteal decks as it may be hard to finish off the opponent.
This is still a work in progress and I'll try to update as much as I can. I'm considering putting in the warp stranger but I'm afraid it would make the deck even jankier. EDIT: Horus Traver seems a good addition to the deck as he can also provide Time for Determined Stranger.
