This deck plays units that generate power when they hit the opponent, and ways to make them hit the opponent. The result is that you can have some explosive turns where you play 6 cards and attack with your whole board twice dealing 20+ damage at once.
The stars of the deck are
Talir, Headmistress and
Waystone Titan. Each time one of these hits the opponent, you get enough power to play another.
Riva, Crimson Blur and
Praxis Adept, also refund power equal to the damage that they deal, making them great when buffed by
Kaleb's Persuader or
Shugo Standard.
To help units damage the enemy player,
Iceberg Scattershot,
Mercenary Vanguard and
Kaleb's Persuader allow you to damage the opponent regardless of how many blockers they have.
After playing some units and successfully hitting the opponent, you now should have extra power to play some more cards. This is often a great time to fetch a market card. If possible, grab
Aspect of Destruction as this lets you retrigger all of your power generating abilities and deal even more damage.
Calderan Gunsmith can also trigger power generating abilities while doing direct damage,
Kairos' Choice can return a unit to hand, and
Detonation Cannon can do a burst of damage directly to the opponent's face.
In order to get to 6 power,
Reactor Forge is amazing ramp. Some other cards give max power or temporary power as well.
Notes:
- Demand Death is best played when you have scattershot in play, are about to get a +6 power effect, or you are dying soon anyways.
- Redraw any hand that has 0 ramp.
- Each enemy unit can only block once per turn, which is relevant when you can attack a second time in the same turn.
Deck is fun and can come outa nowhere and win. I wonder if supplier has any place in this list. In a few of the games I lost I needed more card draw, I had power but couldn't get antything done with it.
