Deck seems pretty consistent. It's not the hardest deck to pilot and has been very successful for me after the balance changes.
Don't be afraid to market away your powerful units, especially Zal Chi, Herald of War when needed, as situationally he is a dead card in your hand and can be fetched by a smuggler later if needed. You usually want to redraw for all three power sources or two and a cargo as the deck doesn't work without time or fire, and equivocate is a very important card in the deck, which requires primal. Initiates are perfect in an opening hand as they allow you to ramp into an early Cykalis or Moonstone vanguard.

Note: once the meta has settled after balance changes, Teacher of Humility may be a good card to substitute for Champion of Fury depending on the meta ie if slowing the opponents play and/or card draw is more important than faster beatdown swap out the champions for teacher. The rest of the list is pretty much set.

Whenever I put monolith in my market I find I never grab it and end up swapping a different card in for it. is there anything else that could go there? Maybe arcanum?

The only edge monolith has over arcanum (I assume you mean The Praxis Arcanum) is against maul decks and thats why i put it in (i was finding them a lot on ladder) however if you find your matchups are more often favouring arcanum it would be a great card to swap for monolith. if you were to do this id also consider swapping Molot for infinite hourglass.

Are you referring to the pay 10 for 25 health? Because that doesn't give you any edge against maul decks.If the game goes that long you've won.

No I'm referring to the charge text which gives your mid range units ie smugglers hearts and moonstones have a faster impact as maul tries to kill you on turn 6-8. Its also worth leaving 3 power up for display after turn 6 to counter their maul if you have cards in hand.

I had choice originally but disjunction gave more consistency against other decks with DFPs, mask's ect. Monolith isn't there to be a specific maul counter, the deck is set up to be as consistent across all matchups as it can, however i found it helped against the deck situationally whereas arcanum would die to gloaming wisps.
