Recently, I was inspired by a deck combining the new steelfang glaive with onis and a weapons package. I felt like something similar could be quite strong in the gauntlet if its strategy, power, and influence were a tad more consistent. The result was this deck, which combines cheap units requiring limited influence with weapons that make them much more effective. Most gauntlet opponents have little hard removal and some have none at all, making units with weapons both strong and survivable. Not only that, but as a frequent gauntlet grinder, I love decks that move quickly and are fun to pilot. This one scratches both those itches for me.
Try to keep hands that look capable of a quick start, preferably with at least two 1 or 2-drops. Be wary of openers with only 2 power and mostly expensive cards. Oni ronins are massive early on, as their warcry buff glaive or a champion, either of which makes a tempo efficient card even stronger.
Feel free to tweak or comment as you like, I just wanted to share a very fun and powerful gauntlet grinding deck I made! It has completed 8/9 of my last masters level gauntlet runs, which most of my other decks would struggle to do.
