Apparently this deck still works. I feel like I tried everything this month. Feln, tjp, moment, big fat time piles, scream.. I just couldn't get out of diamond for the life of me.
So today I said fuck it, I'm playing rakano. I went 7-1 smoothly going from 0/100 D1 to masters.
I honestly don't know why I play anything else. Rakano aggro is like a friend who'll always let you crash on their couch when you're too drunk to go home. It's the cigarette you find in your coat pocket when your pack is empty and the corner store is closed. I love you rakano, you're my forever girl, baby. <3
When matched up against TJP control the deck runs out of gas far too quickly.
Against alessi the has no finisher, got them down to three and they stabilized with one stand united.
Against Praxis tokens, the deck has no sweepers even though it is in justice.
All-in-all it is not a bad skeleton but I think a few tweaks are needed to make it competitive on ladder.
Went 3W/10L
Only 1 of those wins was because I won, the other two were either no power forfeit or DCed. Out of the losses only 2 were due to flood.
Again I see potential but the problem is that right now aggro is hurting on ladder IMO.
Rakano has always been my fallback deck. I just happened to do really well with it this month. I win a lot bevause people think they're winning the race and greatly underestimate the burst damage potential from your fast spells.
In general though, the deck does have game across the board. Consistent damage output, instant speed interaction and efficient removal. The units are pretty great too. Oni Ronin amazing 1 drop, quickdraw units are almost unblockable because opponent will anticipate pump spells, Whirling duo fantastic at winning the race against aggro as well as being a good followup after mass removal or relic weapon atrack, and Valkyrie Enforcer is just an all around amazing card.
All that being said, you're not doing anything too surprising here. A good opponent should always play around all our shenanigans whenever they're able to
Factory Quota is an ingenious way of dealing with Control and has usually been my go-to swap in ladder, being the MVP of the game.
Also on a side note, what could replace Deepforged Plate for those who don't have it such as myself?
