Trying to figure out what this deck will look like and if it's viable. Anyone who's ever played a Goblin Electromamcer knows how potentially powerful of a card we have here. True, we do not have grapeshot or past in flames, but in Eternal we have the possibility to pay zero for spells, so we don't need a bunch of rituals clogging up our deck either.

Added Second Sight because when your 2-cost spells cost zero, you want to be putting Herald's Song back on top of your library

This will potentially be much more interesting with messenger hawk

Alright so I haven't been back to update this in a while, even though Tamarys has been put for a few days already. In my playtesting I found the deck to just be too slow. Playing Cradle requires a ton of cantrips in your deck and just massive overall spell density. This is the first time I've played with the card, and honestly, it's just bad.

So i tried playing a version of the deck with no cradles, I also tried Moment of Creation, so far I haven't found a shell I'm happy with. I might come back to this when I have some time next month, but right now so close to the end of September I'm shelving it. Need to focus on finishing league and securing top 100 in ranked.

If I have the time ya. There has been quite a lot of changes since this list was first posted, and cradle being buffed is certainly a big one. Right now I'm transitioning into a new job, and I have 2 very young kids, so I don't really have a ton of time for messing around in constructed. I have the feeling that Tamarys might just be too slow in general though. Being a multicolored 4/4 flier, it does dodge a lot of removal (display of ambition, torch, annihilate, avigraft, permafrost you don't care), but I think it might just be too slow.

As a Modern Storm player myself I have to love this concept and I really want to help you, Ninjacan, and you guys. Unfortunately Eternal still dosn't give us the right tools to build a decent combo deck (Talir combo is not even combo...it's just Destiny being broken). Cradle is actually bad, too slow, but it seems the best card to abuse massive spell casting. Another approach is the Elysian Trailblazer + double Second Sight combo. We can draw all the deck with double Tamarys on board. Two problems: 1) Powers in hand --> The End is Near 2) Low mana in the combo turn --> End of the Barrel, Kindle. In the extreme rare case everything works fine we should win on the spot (eventually channel will cost 1 or 2, we won't have any power in the deck and we keep getting new mana with spells). Does it make any sense?
EDIT: I would like to add that Stonescar Excavator could be a way to end the game at the end of the combo turn because of The End is Near. Icespear Chucker is game winning too if played at the start or during the combo turn (it's actually super bad 4 mana grapeshot).

Thanks for taking the time to check out this deck, and ya, I realized after testing that cradle is trash. Unfortunately I don't have the time to brew and try other things (I think chucker might be the best bet), but I'm glad posting this list gave some people inspiration

I ran across a FP deck running Tamarys that absolutely destroyed me. It seemed like the Kennadins shell with cradle, Tammy, Eilyn, and channel brought in. Happy brewing!

I like the concept.

Personally I'd start with an Icaria Blue control shell. Definite want to run 4+ Harsh Rules in a durdly deck like this and take out the Icarias and retool the mana base.

I tried cutting the backlashes, cauldrons and channel (1 ending up in market as a late game reload) for Jennev Merchants, Jotun Hurler, Static Bolt and a couple of permafrost. Hailstorm, Tamarys, Hurler, Permafrost and Tempest in the market. Hurler and Bolt both synergize well with Second Sight which is nice.

1 mirror image on a Tamarys makes all the 2 cost draw spells free cantrips, which is really the decks fuel. I added Merchants, with Tammy in the market, but think I'd like a Mirror Image too, as it's that important.

I have never loved a deck idea as much as I love this one. I think we definitely want a market here... It's a shame we can't ramp into Tamarys, the Geomancer without splashing a faction. Is this perhaps a place for Icespear Chucker? Anyway, I'm excited to test this and see where it goes.

It might be, I haven't tried him. He might be better than cradle as cradle is pretty awful. Playing time gives access to secret pages, maybe learned herbalist for lifegain as well as ramp, moment of creation. Really wish I had more time to test lol

Probably ya. I've already been testing it out a bit with Jenev Merchant to fetch Tamarys, the Geomancer and Calderan Cradle.
I haven't won a lot of games XD

I mostly play Gauntlet, so that seems to improve this deck's winrate considerably. ;-) I threw in 4 Merchants, putting Channel, Tamarys, Calderan Cradle, Hailstorm, and Skycrag Banner in the Market and it seems to be doing very well there so far. The AI seems to drastically undervalue Tamarys. One time I triple blocked a 7/7 with one of my Tamarys and it could have killed it but chose to kill a Cradle Dragon and a Merchant instead.

Just gotta wait until we have 4x Tamarys, the Geomancer. I've been testing this in gauntlet and even with only two Tamarys it's doing OK. I'm playing a single Obliterate but have a playset of Acquisitive Crow.

Just tried this, without Crow. Man, Tamarys, the Geomancer with Mirror Image is just amazing, ensuring that there's always a Tamarys on board. It feels just wonderful to nerf a Jawbone Greatsword with a zero-cost Torch.
