Disclaimer: If you are looking for a deck to climb the ranks with, this is not for you! Meant for players like me, who value fun over competitiveness.
My go-to Deck. Mostly playing it for fun, but it does fairly well on Silver / Gold ranked.
Basically draw cards and stall until you have a
Crown of Authority up, then you play
Talir, Who Sees Beyond and have her not die or get silenced (it helps to keep an unseal to protect her).
After that all you need to do is activate your
Crown of Authority and draw out
Vodakhan, Temple Speaker.
Since he is gonna have destiny, this is gonna start your infinite combo, because now all your time units and power cards have destiny (and those two make up for about 75% of your deck). Also, because you have
Lumen Reclaimer, you never really run out of cards in your deck.
Because of that however as soon as your combo starts, it will probalby only be over when you reach the end of your turn timer and one of the random sacrifices hits
Talir, Who Sees Beyond
I think you have a good idea going, but the problem with combo decks is that they are reliant on getting good draws to work. If you could fully control your draws then there would be a case to make, But seeing as you're running only one tutor in the form of celestial omen the draws are going to be wildly inconsistent. Crests are a must in most decks these days, even to the point of running off-colors. The scry ability is just that good.
Cirso and Curiox are pretty much 'win more' cards, meaning that if you have the ability to play them then you are likely already winning, rather than them giving you a decent foothold to actually win (Curiox especially). Vodakhan is also guilty of this status, where as something like Mystic Ascendant is an earlier and more consistent threat, and it draws you cards to boot. Wandering Wisp is just....laughable to be honest.
It seems like you tossed this together with the notion of using a lot of high value cards, which on their own do well, but lack any real focus or direction aside from make things big. Save something like this for the jank meta in the lower master's tiers, or in my honest opinion, dust most of these legendaries and build a solid T1 deck to use to farm your way up the latter (supposing you care about that sort of thing).
In the end don't be discouraged if this is your first deck you've built and/or published. Everyone starts out somewhere at some point. It may take a while and a whole lot of revisions and just outright scrapping ideas, but eventually the idea of how to truly deck build will click and you will be a much better deck builder and theorycrafter for it. If you wish to continue with this deck, take a good long look at it. Trim the fat and what is unnecessary and replace with solid backups. Pick a direction you want to go in, and build around that. And don't be afraid to look at similar archetypes to see what people run and why.
About the legendaries, I personally have found Cirso to work very well as a way to stabilize on an otherwise hopeless board. The thing is that with this deck I do not care for chip damage at all, since the overall gameplan is just to stall until i get the combo going, and I have found Cirso a great help in doing just that.
As for Curiox, I mostly needed a flyer that can be pulled with the crown, because running only 2 sandstrom titans (because I only have 2) means I have weak defense against flyers. I had a Rolant's Honor Guard in his stead, but I found that the occasional drawing of a dragon's eye made up for the missing lifesteal entirely.
The wisp, of course it is pretty laughable, but the main reason as to why i run the wisp is because in my experience people often waste a silence on said wisp that would otherwise hit one of the important combo pieces(of course, most of the time it's just Vara's Favor, but still). This is also one of the cards that I have been replacing in some of the other variations
My main focus in this game is to have fun, not be competitive, so I'll gladly take a less than ideal win rate for the occasional wombo combo.
Also thanks a lot for your constructive feedback, I really appreciate it, especially concerning the crests, I was always kind of unsure about them because of the depleted aspect, but I will give them a try and see what happens :)
PS: do I detect a Hearthstone reference in your name? Perhaps one that is in charge now?
As for the name, I've been using this name for years now as a part of a RL guild I'm a part of (I do Renaissance faires). Something I've done for the last 8 or so years. Funny enough Hearthstone then came out with Captain Patches as a pirate tribe card, and I am in a pirate guild. Just a sort of funny coincidence. But yes I did play Hearthstone for a couple of years until the advent of their seasons. I found it too difficult to take a break from the game as I am want to do on occasion and come back without being at a severe disadvantage. One of my original gaming pseudonyms that I've been using for probably closer to 13 years now is Sazdek, which has it's roots in MTG with the original Ravnica set. And one of the reasons I am just hoping this game makes mill viable. Life story aside, good eye spotting that. lol
