An update to my Mono Primal Midrange deck from the previous expedition. It's a little stunnier than it was before, and Argent Depths has new and interesting ways to reward keeping your opponent's units on ice.
Stuns:
Permafrost - Basic non-removal removal.
Ice Sprite - Lock a unit down and get a 1/2 flyer for your trouble.
Water Conjuring - This card has a lot going for it in this deck. It's fast, stuns two units, and lets you invoke.
Daraka, Loyal Guardian - Turns all your temporary stuns into permanent stuns.
Crystallize - When you need to swing for the win.
Stun payoffs:
Frostbite Elemental - In this deck, it's a 2-cost 4/5. That is bonkers.
Shatter - I'm on the fence about this one. It's not in this deck, but it bears mentioning.
Other stuff:
Maveloft Huntress -
Frostbite Elemental's BFF. Imbue is a stun, and will let him attack/block, or you can use the elemental's stats to get a huge killer boost.
Torgov, Icecap Trader - Heavy hitter with card draw.
Linrei's Codex - Activatable card draw, evasion for all your units, and
Crystallize through spellcraft.
Transpose - I prefer this over
Primal Etchings for the market for the face aegis. Between Transpose,
Eilyn's Favor and
Cobalt Waystone, you should be well protected from nasty effects.
Market:
Uelo, Sky Tactician - Once
Linrei's Codex comes down, this is a game-winner.
Rain of Frogs - Basic defense against nasty stuff that hasn't happened yet.
Jarrall's Frostkin - Another stun on a decent sized body. Probably a fluid spot.
Death from Above,
Brutal Frostlord - Fluid spots.
Strengths:
Efficient. There are a lot of good rates and effects on units that should keep you going.
Protects the face. 11 cards in this deck give you face aegis. You shouldn't have a problem getting it up and keeping it up.
Weaknesses:
Endurance. Good thing
Infinite Hourglass isn't in the format anymore, for what that's worth.
Aggro/Charge. If your opponent can outpace your stuns, the game is theirs.
