Background
After playing Feln (black/blue) for awhile, I decided to add in a splash of Fire. Mainly because I do not have enough dual influence powers in my collection and I felt that I needed "faster" flyers (Thunder of Wings) to close out game quicker. The reason for only 3 Teething Whelp and 1 Dread Hellkite is because my collection is incomplete and I was making this deck with whatever cards I had.
Starting Hand
Look for one Sigil, the appropriate seat for your 2 drop and any of the following: Lethrai Ranger, Makkar Evangel, Teething Whelp.
Game Plan
Turn 1: Play a Seat and Seek Power
Turn 2: Play Lethrai Ranger / Teething Whelp / Makkar Evangel
Turn 3: Buff with Beastcaller's Amulet / Blackguard Sidearm as appropriate OR develop Thunderbird / Thunder of Wings (exhausting one of your units)
Turn 4 on wards (Air): Play Thunderbird / Dread Hellkite / Thunder of Wings. Buff your flyers with Windshaper for the kill. Remember that Dread Hellkite has deadly so do not be afraid to attack with it when there are big flyers around.
Turn 4 on wards (Ground): Lock out your opponents units to allow your units to continue to go face. See below for options.
Late Game: Wisdom of Elders to refuel and keep the pressure on.
Locking Out Your Opponent
Permafrost: Save this for the big threats or when you need to play 2 cards in a turn to get ahead
Defile: Get rid of 3/3 units
Sear: Get rid of 3/3 units or go face in the late game
Ice Sprite: Useful to lock out big targets or targets with weapons to allow your units to attack. It is also a flyer, so it plays into our late game plan.
Dread Hellkite: Use it's ability to prevent a big unit from blocking.
Polymorph: Get rid of powerful abilities on minions
Other Cards
Minotaur Lighthoof: Play un-blockable on Lerathi Ranger / Teething Whelp and also has a nice big body
Beastcaller's Amulet: I like to play this on Thunderbird as it is hard to remove, especially when playing against control decks. Try not to play on units that already have infiltrate / mastery because it is going to be super painful if your opponent removes it.
Playing Against Aggro
This deck is sufficiently fast to block aggro units. Windshaper is very effective for this. Direwood Beast (5/5) from Beastcaller's Amulet can also block many of the aggro units. Sometimes if you can do more damage than them each turn, it might be better to race them.
Playing Against Control
Do not overextend. Play just enough to get 2-4 damage through every turn.
Hope you have fun with this deck and please give me any feedback you have.
