Boy, FTJPS influence sure is tricky to pull off, huh? What if we just... skipped that step?
Gameplan: Keep yourself in factionless mode for as long as possible, then get some time influence going (always choose time), do the usual factionless things with
Petition and
Conspire, hunt for
Nightmare Prism, then proceed to drop your now-playable bacon and king clown to close out the game.
This strategy is slightly modified by the fact that, if you don't open with
Nightmare Prism you want to play
Calibrate before
Tempting Offer so your reduced cards don't get swept under. Remember also that even when
Beacon of the Reach and
Triumphant Stranger have their influence requirements removed, they don't count as "factionless" cards. You're ignoring the cost, not removing it.
7/7
Prism Golems are sweet, but 5/5s are still value. Also, use
Traver's Farm to dump factionless spells into your void, THEN draw
Triumphant Stranger the millisecond after you've got
Nightmare Prism installed. Also also, don't pitch the cards generated by your bacon to the market, as they'll probably get stuck there. It doesn't unlink them though, interestingly enough.
You're usually dumping all of your power into
Celebration if you're using it that turn, be it 2, 4 or 8. A 1-cost
Celebration gets you a unit equal to the power you dump into it, and a 0-cost gets you one higher. Both are value unless you get really unlucky (I've popped a couple of bond units like
Aerial Attendant, to my frustration).
Still not sure about
Wren, Traditionalist. it's supposed to be for converting redundant
Nightmare Prisms and anything
Calibrate would fish out into draw, but the game seems to end before that matters. That slot still has to have time influence to be draw-able from both your market cards, so not really sure what it would be replaced with, either.
DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT BRING THIS INTO PVP. Too many people run
The Speaking Circle to risk it. 4-cost Circle is great, but not when you're staring one down! Combine that with sweeps and relic removal (both of which Gauntlet is weak in), and it's basically Russian Roulette with 5 bullets.
