Aggro Control is perhaps an odd marker, but I think that it fits this deck that took me from middle 200s in Expedition masters down to rank 77 at the time of posting.
Primarily the goal of this deck is to be on the offensive and to go over the top of your opponent with fliers, pump and anti-flier tech.
But at the same time, the deck is effective at control because most cards force the opponent to play around our cards in different ways.
Hooru Pacifier prevents all weapons and that includes exalted weapons such as the ever present Daring Gryffyn.
Bring Down is actually highly effective against mirror Hooru match-ups and also against Xenan cultist's favorite friends - Karvet and Incarnus - the first it kills, the second it makes blockable which as good as kills it as long as you have a defender.
Parul's Choice grabs your defensive curses - Permafrost or Avigraft depending on the need (and if you've used them yet). Either way, because of Parul's Choice, less of our curses is fine here.
Even Finest Hour and Forbidden-Rider Outcast can both control too along with their aggressive Aspects.
Sodi is also great at keeping enemy units out of the sky - the Xenan match up would be much different without it.
Market -
Adjudicator's Gavel - I'm a little surprised we haven't seen more of this card in markets as it can really hurt the Xenan game plan as well as Feln discard.
Lay Siege - A great anti-aggro card to win the race against other aggro decks
Edict of Kodosh - The main cards to beat are Shadow cards, so this card beats them
Clutch of Talons - A win con if no Pacifier is currently in play
Thunderstrike Dragon - A win con if Pacifier is in play.
--------
As always I will say, the most important thing you can do when piloting this deck is to know your match ups - the quicker you can decipher the enemies game plan, the better you will be able to play around it. Best of luck and have fun!
Love the deck!
