Marrow Cutter is the type of card i absolutely love -- extremely powerful with a simple build-around design.
i went with argenport because justice has the best heroes on curve and there are a couple solid argenport heroes.
some synergies and card notes:
-
Zadia, Fearsome Outcast is super versatile and helps us control the battlefield. she can stop a big attacker that has you on a clock or you can slam her on the backswing for
Cowardice (the ai often leave only one unit to block) and swing to victory with our marrow cutting heroes
- warcry from marrow cutter and
Tarra, Ever Loyal is disgustingly good into
Steelfang Glaives (we also only run 3 copies of Tarra because the unit she pairs with rarely dies so she's mostly good for being a hero that gives something warcry 2)
-
Exploit is a great proactive card that picks apart the ai's hand while fixing our power (this could also be something like
Slay,
Monarch Cloak,
Vanquish, etc.)
-
Lystia, Flighty Mistral seems sort of anti-synergistic with marrow cutter as she's at her best as a solo unit but having the hero tag, being a 3 attack flyer, and having a great summon ability more than justifies her inclusion (could also swap her for something like
Ageless Knight,
Eris Beastbane,
Vara, Vengeance-Seeker, etc. however, i have played with all the aforementioned cards and found Lystia to be the best)
-
Save the Day is CRAZY strong and can turn a guaranteed loss into an immediate victory (i only run 3 copies because at 4 i'd draw too many and they'd sit in my hand doing nothing while generally one of these will win you the game)
EDIT:
Battlemaster Kitaxius should undoubtedly be in this deck but i don't have her so forgot to mention it. i'd most likely cut 3x tarra + 1x lystia to make room.
power:
these can be changed to whatever feels best to you but after a few dozen matches of experimentation this is the setup that's been most consistent for me. we pull a lot of justic sigils out of our deck between
Justice Etchings,
Hojan, Crownbreaker, and
Lystia, Flighty Mistral and 7 has felt like the perfect amount. any less and we run out of sigils making etchings awkward and sometimes unusable as a top deck, any more and we don't hit our 2 shadow influence requirement consistently enough.
market:
-
Sparring Session is our flex slot and a pet card of mine. it's fun and can be really strong but is an easy swap for anything else you want
-
Manacles and
Pristine Light are staple justice market removal spells that largely feel irreplaceable
-
Reinforced Reaper is wildly versatile and powerful. it can be a Quinn trigger that adds 6 attack to the board or it can remove the attack of a deadly unit while killing another threat... it kinda does everything.
-
Commander Ironthorn is a big beefy hero and our only source of silence (we can't run
Valkyrie Enforcer in the main because he's not a hero and i think he's too weak as a one-of in the market). our units are quite resilient between endurance, flying, and high health so you'll sometimes find yourself in board stalls that require a mass silence to break
Edit: how did kitaxius not make this list?
i did try kira but she felt pretty lackluster without finest hour and steyer's eyes.
and kitaxius absolutely should be in the list but i don't have her lol i'll edit her in, probably cut tarra and 1x lystia for her
