Okay, pretty dirt simple deck here, spurred on by one ForceOfNatureWolf wanting to play a Praxis Recruit deck in throne, and wanting to use Alhed to inspire the recruited units to make them even bigger. So this is basically what I'd call a stock list. Take the good ramp cards from costs 1-3, add in druid of the sands for more recruit chaining, then the payoffs are pretty straightforward--the two big recruit bombs (Patrice and Boar Riders), Alhed because FONW wanted him (if you stick him, you're going to come out way ahead, but that's an "if"), and then riftfeeder wasp because wasp is wasp and wasp is still absolutely cracked when it isn't the top of your curve. Add in a set of torch to not die and a couple of T etchings because 25 base power isn't enough, and there you go.

Market is also kind of straightforward. One piece of attachment removal, Gnash is obligatory, a ramp dork + payoff deck needs Rapid Development because that's your ghetto crafterhoof. a 5-drop to fetch with your ramp merchant (I went with worldbearer but Braun can do as well), and Kairos because Kairos.

Deck basically plays itself. Play ramp doofuses -> play payoffs -> smack face with chonkers -> win games.

Honestly, I think this just might be hands down the best T midrange deck in the format for those that like the old T plan of "ramp to fatties". Xenan midrange might look good on paper but plays like garbage. Elysian is hot garbage owing to awful power options and P reverting to its worst-faction-in-the-game state, and Combrei might have a solid midrange deck doing something similar to this, but you'd lose Patrice and Kairos to gain...Diana and Lightbringer? Not sure I like that tradeoff.

How good is this deck and is it still up to date?

I have been running this for the past few days, it is very strong. Really punishes others for trying to have fun. The only thing that really stomps me is Grumbo, which, if you don't have the torch, just surrender. Grumbo is probably the most toxic card in the game right now, IMO.

Replace worldbearer with Trail Scourge in the market. Trail scourge just completely owns go-wide nonsense if they have no stand together.

The biggest weakness of this deck is that it lacks removal. Other than that, it's straightforward and sensible.

I love this deck sir!

I liked playing 4 Auralian Merchant & 2 Praxis Smuggler to increase the odds of going Druid --> Market access.

Trail Scourge won me more games than anything. We're heavier on 1/2 drops in this version, but I still like Scourge in the market over Worldbearer Behemoth.

Rapid Development is decent with Master Archivist. 2 drop 4/5 or something tarmogoyf-esque statblock, it alone can turn your dorks into 5/X's if you haven't drawn some bigger units.

Cloudscraper is another good 2-of or whatever number you choose. Helps win wasp mirrors or Kira battles. Can recruit into it for immediate board impact. Playable from the market as a backup inscribe.

Lots of options for this color pool & archetype. Have fun!

Yep, I think at this point, it's kind of an agreement that both Trail Scourge and Gnash, Desert Prince are staple Auralian merchant market cards. They both just completely ruin people.
