Mostly posted so I could show flippyflop but the deck is pretty good. I made and played it before the Crow buff so it's even better than that. Plunderer could be Unseen Commando and maybe one more Protect. If you do that it might also be worth swapping Kothon for Dusk Raider and Vanquisher's Blade for Vanquish.

Labadi Eternal Version: 1.37.4
So how many plunderer do you guys think are good in the deck, or should they be in there at all?! I really like the type of deck and thought about crafting plunderers or chancellors. I tried "numbers" rakano ramp deck and was surprised how much of a swing bracers on grenamotive could be, so I definitely do see the point in a 1/4 berserk unit.

So Plunderer is a lot fun but I haven't found a way to make it work as well as I want in Hooru. You can blow people out with it but mostly it's just a 1/4 with berserk and that's kinda lame. I think it'd be a lot better in an (expensive) 3 color deck with Sword of Unity and maybe Staff of Speed and Sandglass Parma. That'd probably play sort of similar to this but it'd be more midrangy. Or you could try going more midrange in Hooru with Gleaming Shield, but I haven't really gotten that to work either.

But if you like Hooru Tempo decks you're in luck because that's been my favorite archetype since I started playing in set 1, and I just posted my best version of it yet with a detailed deck tech. It's pretty different than this one but the playstyle is the same and I think it's a lot better. Plus it's cheaper since it doesn't have Plunderer.

Thanks a lot for the detailed reply! I actually already exported your deck today and am about to try it on ladder over the weekend. I actually wasn't much interested in Hooru before, but cards like crow and bracers really raised my interest in the archetype. I am not a brewer, but was also wondering if Plunderer wouldn't want to go in a deck with cards like cirsos cleaver rather for example.

If you're talking about the deck I linked I just updated the powerbase so you might want to copy it again. This is the first time this archetype has felt really powerful. When I first started play I got to masters with a much more aggro version of Hooru and it was sort of alright but I felt like I had to play a lot of bad cards just to play the colors and style I wanted. I could make it work but I've been playing decks like this for a long time - I started in Magic where my favorite card is Delver of Secrets - so to some extent I was using skill to make up for a bad deck. Over time Hooru cards got released and I could build better versions but I had to be a little more value-oriented than I wanted to actually make a good deck. But now with Bracers and Crow I can build a version that's as aggressive and tempo-y as I want and mostly consists of really good cards, so it's starting to look like a real archetype like Rakano Plate or Skycraggro.

Oh man I totally forgot about Cleaver. Yeah Plunderer would be very good with that card indeed. And if you go Shadow there are some other good weapons like Hair-Trigger Pistol and Thief's Pick. Also Horrifying Helm is hilarious on Plunderer. You'd get a wombo curve of Plunderer -> Horrifying Helm + Thief's Pick to Pilfer and swing for 16 unblockable on turn 4. Plunderer would have one health but you can change the order of the weapons to get 2 health and 14 damage. I think that's the type of thing you want to be doing with her.

The problem is her body isn't something you ever want to play in constructed (it's basically an expensive Scaly Graun) so you need to get a lot of mileage out of the textbox. The best way to do this is to play weapons that have an expensive and/or powerful spellcraft effect, plus a lot of buffs for the berserk. I'm pretty sure you need both for it to be worth it and Hooru only really has buffs - the power from its spellcraft weapons mostly comes from how cheap the spellcraft is and the fact that the weapons are pretty good un-spellcrafted. Your best option is Bracers which is really good, but the second best option is Linebreaker's or Vanquisher's, and those are good sometimes but usually pretty mediocre.

So yeah I think you want her with either Cleaver or Sword of Unity because those give you really strong spellcrafts and good buffs. Also Time is the best faction to take advantage of a 1/4 - it usually wants blockers and you can buff it for free (kinda) with Stand Together and Xenan Obelisk.

nicee
more people to play Acquisitive Crow and Copperhall Bracers!

yea i think, i'm really not a huge fan of Dusk Raider outside of the feln berserk deck. the card just feels bad in general and i can see why people were cutting it from the skycrag aggro lists of late.
Kothon, the Far-Watcher is definitely a sweet one, it's just a shame that the endurance from Linebreaker's Shield is wasted on it but it's still a nice body for bracers.

i'm going to point to a conversation i had in another list in regards to Horde Plunderer but i see you've already accounted for it.
i think in the case of this current list i might just trim the maindeck to 1/2 and put them in the market or something and play the Unseen Commandos

Hey thanks for the comment, you reminded me that I forgot to post my most recent iteration of this deck. It's pretty different than this one but I think it's a lot better.

You're probably right about Dusk Raider on average, but it does definitely win games sometimes. But without any nightfall synergy or guaranteed ways to draw units it's probably not good enough.
