Mulligans:
Mulligans are quite strict on power base, attempt to get all three colors in your starting hand and some sort of power search tool or early game control that can allow you to draw into your mana.
Analysis:
Seek Power : Power base is strict for this deck, this card is a necessity!
Torch : Early Removal to prepare for weapons.
Desert Marshal : Searchable with Rise to the Challenge and a good tool for early game aggro and silencing spooky units.
Disjunction : This is the reason I splash Time. This card is an enabler for twice as many weapons. Very versatile piece in this deck, it never feels bad drawing it.
Find the Way : More power search.
Miner's Musket : Powerful tool against aggro, specifically Skycraggro. Also can provide a free card with disjunction based on how dire the situation is.
Vanquish : Kills things I guess.
Wanted Poster : Still good, the only draw engines for this deck would be disjunction, reforge and rise otherwise. These can't draw you mana so you need this card.
Scorpion Wasp : Kills big minions eg. Icaria.
Sword of Icaria : Considerable Removal attached to warcry. Potent early game potential.
Whirling Duo : For those games where you can't find your mana fast enough, this card provides you some breathing room.
Auric Runehammer : Best weapon in the game, especially when you bring it back the second time.
Reforge : Mainly used for weapon misplays but also very strong when combined with any weapon in this deck.
Rise to the Challenge : This deck is a toolbox, you must find your tools.
Harsh Rule : Synergises with your weapons so that you can bash face more often. Also great spell to use against a big board (duh).
Throne Warden : Good with Molten Fist and great against aggro. A very important unit in this deck for its aegis as well. Overall, this card is great against everything.
Molten Fist : PUNCH YOUR ENEMY IN THE FACE! or kill something on board, or just gain six life.
Starsteel Daisho : Great against control but lack luster in other matchups which is why there is only one in the deck.
Icaria, Valkyrie Captain : The focal point of the whole deck! The destroyer of alliances herself! The best finisher card out there.
Considerations:
Rakano Artisan : Solid card but demanding on power for an above average effect. Desert marshal took his place but this card might still have a place in the deck.
FAQ:
Q:When do I play disjunction?
A:At the end of an opponent's turn to obtain a weapon to hit face or gain momentum is the most optimal situation to be in but this spell should be prioritized on Xenan Obelisk, and other very powerful relics such as opponent weapons other than grabbing an old weapon from your void. Bigger weapons are probably worth grabbing over removing a relic though.
Q:Bad Matchups?
A: Rakano Plate, Icaria Blue, Praxis Midrange seem to be the worst matchups but the best matchups are just about everything else out there.
Q: What do I Rise for?
Aggro: Marshal, Duo, Warden, or Weapon removal, based on the situation you may be it really depends which one you get.
Midrange: Icaria is very good against midrange and sometimes is your only key to victory, finding her often against midrange it smart unless you need something else, usually a large weapon is next on the list.
Control: Icaria and face weapons all day. Remove Feln's units at all costs, they will ruin your day quickly.
